Naaa... I rarely use the throttle like that. I mostly use it to protect my knees when starting out in rough terrain or uphill. There are a few other reasons to have one but nothing intoxicating. My use is less than 0.1% in time and distance. That said... I'll never own a bike without one.

In my m620 experience the throttle and torque sensor compliment each other and the signals feels blended together. Unlike on the BBS* where the higher signal overrides the lower when the throttle is set to current. That said, disconnecting the throttle and testing as suggested... Sure, why not...

Personally I never carry my shock pump with me unless I'm setting up a new shock and then only for the first few rides. If you set your PAS Speed (page 1) to %, then you can set it to 80%. I believe the max output RPM of the BBS02B is around 140.

My throttle is set to full power (28a) for all PAS. But between lowering the start current and using the twist throttle that is more precise in delivery I've never had a problem. Of course you can hammer it if you wanted.

Not worth converting a CANbus motor... to much to buy separately (internal sensors) and that can go wrong. Only way I would do it would be to buy the complete motor kit and swap it out. Plug/Play. This would also leave you with a complete motor as a back up.

I've been getting out even with the heat and I rode yesterday but I took it real easy... It was low 90s° with Dew Points in the low 70s°...the smoke rolled in just as I was finishing my ride. It's more prevalent this morning so I think I'll pass on today's ride.

Ultra UART is available and last I bought one from GreenBikeKit was October 2024. I do believe they still have them on their website... But most bike builders are equipping new bikes with the CANbus
