How hard can you push a Bafang Ultra motor

Yes that's a good interval.... as long as the factory grease was sufficient. The Mobil SCH100 can definitely last 4000mi+ and is excellent grease for this application. With the John Deere Cornhead I'm still experimenting with and have 5000mi on it now. Search the forum... There's a few threads...

Strip new chain grease before lubing with Rock N Roll Gold?

Another thing I'm curious about.... does she ever let you get on top? 🙃

How hard can you push a Bafang Ultra motor

The only special tool is the chainring locknut tool. Everything else is standard metric hex bolts and a Phillips screwdriver. I believe 4,5,6 and 8mm on the hex I'm a big fan of the socket version...

Strip new chain grease before lubing with Rock N Roll Gold?

Yeah that sounds like a wasteful sloppy mess! But gold for the manufacturer 🙃

Strip new chain grease before lubing with Rock N Roll Gold?

I do the same but I also saute some onions 🙃

Strip new chain grease before lubing with Rock N Roll Gold?

What I'm curious about.... is it possible to post about anything without mentioning your bike model? This is definitely a Specialized shortcoming.. but at least this time we were spared the multiple gratuitous photos 🙃 But to answer the question... Stripping the factory grease will make for a...

How hard can you push a Bafang Ultra motor

If you wait until the motor makes noise... it'll be too late and the damage will be done. Especially since the onset of noise will be so gradual it may be hard to notice. There's a difference between greasing to further quiet the motor's normal noise (as some do with corn head grease (me...

Must carry tools: what are yours?

After spending only $ for an extremely heavy and somewhat high-power fitness/cargo bike (Erectric Terdo SH), I've been determined to keep it that way by not giving a flock 🙃

I finally took my ebike for a test ride.

You could mount the front hub motor so that it spins in the opposite direction... Now that'll give you some braking!

From silicone grease.. to Slickoleum.. to posting pics.... The notion that less can be more eludes you 🙃

I finally took my ebike for a test ride.

I never used anything but the stock 46t chainring and guard... So I guess search Amazon and Ali. Seems there's a bit more available since I retired my BBS 3 years ago

    What Streets Should Look Like

It's thought of as a toy because for the most part in the US it is. The landscape in the US is much different and much more wide spread than it is in Europe and so is economic mobility. In the 28 years I was in the workforce there were very few instances where commuting by bicycle would have...

    The transition

In principle I'm against bailouts... But if you can justify giving them to financial institutions that are often at the rotten core of a shit_show... I'm perfectly OK with giving them to a business that actually produces a product. An auto manufacturer is a lot harder to replace than a bank...

    Impotent Rambo Megatron

Testing the battery should be pretty straightforward. See if it will take a full charge. Then test sag under load. Temperature affect is more with charge/discharge... Not storage. That said, proper storage voltage is important
