Yep! I needed this fixed a week ago - 4 months after warranty expired- so I was SOL for that,which I understand begrudgingly but a fact- so bought a replacement from them- of course it was the clutch but I figured I fix the failed one later and have it as a backup.....

Check it out - the new installed motor cable is 3+ inches shorter! Installed identically to the original it doesn’t even reach the frame tabs that would hold the cable! Yow!

Clutch failed - replacement motor guts swapped successfully- WTF cable is 3.5 inches shorter than original!!! Anybody know source for 3.5/4 inch “jumper” cable???

No jumping- I really haven’t tortured the bike in any way,it may have been making some racket that was masked by the maxxis high roller noise that was just recently eliminated with the switch to shwalbe moto x tires -

Rear tire was toast at 3k- front still very good- changed to street tires- excellent!

Yes- but this all about hub motor engagement,it’s toast- the bike operates quietly and shifts as normal under human power-

No all the bike hardware works perfectly- as soon as pas 1 is juiced the motor makes scraping sounds and if you throttle it,there is a slip detectable similar to a failing clutch

Thanks- I’m buying a new one-I’ll swap the guts & attempt to repair the failed one,if those parts are available I’ll fix it and have a backup I guess-

True that maintaining top speed is gonna drain that battery,but after 5K my battery is still always ready to rock if needed - no loss
