Close to the Nemesis location indeed! I was actually quite surprised how dry it was. Global warming? What?? Naaaahhh... 😁

A holiday in B.C. here today, so I took the opportunity to get out for a third day straight. Absolutely gorgeous day, so with the recent rains here I thought I'd go check out the greenway to see if it was flooding at all. Dry as a bone! This switchback up to the covered overpass is...

Yesterday another quickie out to the sports fields. It had rained hard in the morning but looked great in the afternoon. Turns out there was a large soccer tournament called the Dulari Cup being held. The Fijian community was heavily represented with players, music, food, and other booths...

    Which to pick?

My guess is that the weights are different, regardless of the website stats. It's likely no more than a couple of pounds though.

    Which to pick?

I suspect that the regular "2" hardtail might be a tad lighter. That might not matter to you. Personally I'm pretty much sold on full suspension. My riding is maybe 70/30 road/trail. The comfort level (to me) is significant. My first ebike was a Giant Fantom hardtail. It was/is an awesome...

    The transition

Apologies but no... The bulk of planet earth does NOT believe anything/everything Iran says. The bulk of planet earth also does not believe most of what the POTUS says. None of this is the fault of the bulk of planet earth...

Ebike injuries growing exponentially in California

I'd like to see a breakdown of the make/model of ebikes involved. My suspicion is that they are mostly relatively inexpensive machines that are easily modified for higher speeds, and mostly all with a throttle. Don't get me wrong, I have no hate for throttle equipped ebikes. It's just a...

I completely understand your trepidation. I share it. The replacement cost for my Stance is significantly more than what I paid for mine, by a lot! That said, I'm very much a stealth shopper. Basically in and out quickly. Also I lock the bike up in the most public spot possible. If I think I...

And they want all the water, and all the electrical power. But I guess it's OK as long as it ruins somebody else's property value and quality of life, right?

Was expecting rain on/off all day and did not think a ride would be possible. It was raining heavily when I got up. Two hours later the clouds parted, and instead of getting into the car for a shopping trip I hopped on the bike instead. Logistics dictated the route. Left the first stop of...

Recommended air pump to carry on bike

I'm under the impression that my Fumpa would not be able to seat a new tire on my rim, even with the added throughput/flow with Clik valves. I've only had to deal with flats where the tire is still properly hooked/seated into the rim. Like you, I hope I don't need to find out soon...
