    Lower priced e bike

I don't know anything about those bikes, but on thier parts page it looks like they use the "KT" controllers which are ubiquitous and easily sourced. That's a good thing.

Why don't you share the make, model, and price, and maybe some other members that purchased that make or model can give you some specific insight?

How do you all use your E-BIKES? Do you go out riding with friends or do you enjoy the experience on your own?

I almost ride every day, weather permitting. I ride 70% with my my neighbor who has a comaparable eMTB, and 30% alone.

Installed a Rohloff Speedhub 14, IGH on my mid-drive Luna Z1 Ultra Mag

Hey thaks for the feedback. The hub is sweet and I am stoked every time I ride at how precise the shifting is while riding very agressive mtb trails. Never a missed gear, always the correct gear on demand, whether moving or at a dead stop. Yes I was pleased to see the oil requirements were...

Installed a Rohloff Speedhub 14, IGH on my mid-drive Luna Z1 Ultra Mag

It's been 15 months since I installed the Rohloff hub on my Luna Z1 eMTB. The hub has operated flawlessly without a single adjustment. I really love this hub and could never go back to the ol' derailleur system.

What does it mean when one motor is better than another??

No, there is not, except for you, test driving each bike and motor before buying. I recommend that you purchase from a local LBS. Test drive and compare their offerings.

Bafang Ultra motor for the ultimate riding experience

Congrats on the change up. The Bafang Ultra is a pleasure to ride. I've been riding the Ultra for 2+ years now on my full suspension eMTB. Zero problems, always plenty of power to get the job done. I rode the Bafang BBSHD for two years prior to that, same power and torque. Still runs flawlessly...

My bike with “130nm” can’t keep up with a trike with 90nm??

Considering motors don't actually have a "watt rating" the answer is "no". Watt ratings are BS, and each manufacurer could use differnet measurement standards if they want to. If you are buying a motor, controller, or battery(BMS), you should understand the nominal and peak operating parameters...

My bike with “130nm” can’t keep up with a trike with 90nm??

OEM Tourque "ratings" are not indicitive of speed. I believe the addmotor is a rear hub drive? Rear hubs can be very fast, and can ramp up speed quickly, often faster than mid-drives. I ride an eMTB with a Bafang Ultra mid-drive rated at 165nm. I have an Aventon Level with a 90nm rear hub motor...

No power/current display after Ultra 620 Canbus-UART conversion

Sounds like the contorller is just not reporting the amps and watts ot the display? Or teh display is not reading it? But the bike runs fine?
