Two brands make a great rearview mirror..

Glad you found a solution that works for you. For me, I have settled on a Mirrcycle Barend Mirror, which I find very effective. It also has the bonus of tucking under my bar end. Ergon GP3-L Biokork Grips by Andrew Priest, on Flickr

Entered My First Gravel Race........with the Frey Beast

Which race did you enter? My thinking is to do it with my son, who rides an analog Canyon Grizil 6. He is still building up his kilometres, so 60 km would be the ideal distance at first.

Wahoo ELEMNT Ace (on Specialized E-Bikes)

To quote myself in full [context matters]: "I do not factor in what others do, and I do not assume what I do is what others do.* I hope that where I make a contribution to a discussion where context matters, I provide that context. ," [The discussion had moved on from Spezialied to more broadly...

Wahoo ELEMNT Ace (on Specialized E-Bikes)

I do not factor in what others do, and I do not assume what I do is what others do. I hope that where I make a contribution to a discussion where context matters, I provide that context. For example, this thread is about the use of a Wahoo Elemnt Ace GPS unit; hence, I think it is reasonable to...

Wahoo ELEMNT Ace (on Specialized E-Bikes)

If I were thinking 'outside the box' by using an automotive GPS not designed for use outside the vehicle, I would also be taking steps to protect it from water, but I would not do this in the first place. Each to their own, however. Personally, I prefer to think inside the box and use a device...

    Anybody tried Clik tire valves?

I am converting my 27.5" x 2.35" rims to tubeless (they are tubless-ready, tyres are tubless-ready), and I am considering taking this opportunity to go over Clik Valves or staying with Presta and Muc-Off Big Bore values Required (Clik or Presta): Tubeless valves - Clik - $62 Tubeless valves -...

Wahoo ELEMNT Ace (on Specialized E-Bikes)

I have never experienced that with my Garmin units or with my phones, currently a Nothing (3a) Pro (previously Google Pixel and Samsung models), which are generally mounted on my handlebars via a Peak Design Out Front Bike Mount V2, and similarly when I was riding a motorcycle. The screen is...

Wahoo ELEMNT Ace (on Specialized E-Bikes)

What sort of screen technology does Garmin use? As I stated previously, the Garmin screens are not perfect in the rain, but at least my Garmin Edge 1030 did work.

Wahoo ELEMNT Ace (on Specialized E-Bikes)

Thanks, that is useful to know. As an side do you know if there is a manual for the Ace? My Googling has not found one.

Wahoo ELEMNT Ace (on Specialized E-Bikes)

The problem with the Ace is that some functions, such as changing or selecting a route, require the touchscreen, and to be honest, if you need to or want to use the screen in the rain, it should work. After all is meant to be a premium bicycle GPS. I am hoping this is just my unit and I can get...

Wahoo ELEMNT Ace (on Specialized E-Bikes)

In the rain, just while the screen was wet. Have you had any experience with the Ace in the rain yet?

Wahoo ELEMNT Ace (on Specialized E-Bikes)

Rode in the rain (light but enough to wet the screen on the Wahoo Ace) and discovered the touch feature was no longer functioning. I know it was sometimes annoying with my Garmin 1030 but at least it was still responsive. Sadly with the Ace it was not responsive all.

"Lock" a Bosch Nyon 2 head unit to the bike

To quote myself: "I am looking for ideas to 'lock' the unit to the bike for ducking into shops, overnight camping etc."

"Lock" a Bosch Nyon 2 head unit to the bike

Okay. What threw me was your reference to a mounting screw, this is not a mounting screw. The head-unit mounts without the screw.

"Lock" a Bosch Nyon 2 head unit to the bike

Standard mount, but thanks for your help. You seem to on to the very solution I was looking for.. It looks like the same approach is used as with the Nyon 2. I should have read the manual :)
