I cannot express how much I do admire Bosch E-Bike. It is 2026, and the German brand just invents an e-bike HUB-DRIVE motor. Also, it is 2026, and the German brand invents the connection to Garmin computers. My awe for Bosch genius has reached its summit! I will never ever buy a Bosch E-Bike.

I wonder why you would think the Range Extender could "charge" the internal battery. RE is not a powerbank. Its role is to co-work with the main battery in an intelligent way. For example, both could deliver the energy in parallel. Or, attaching the RE to the e-bike with almost empty main...

A cycling cap under the helmet is good for bald people or for people who sweat a lot. As the pro peloton wears cycling caps, I don't think the MIPS is much affected (or, perhaps at all). I wear balaclava in the cold season but prefer a better ventilation in the summer, so no cap.
