    Lectric XP

I do not personally own one, but I have been eyeing the Swagtron make of folding ebikes. I don't have any sort of commute to worry about, but these bikes have intrigued me as a way to get around a city once I've arrived by car. Find a legal parking space, take this out of the car, and whip...

    New buyer advice needed

Yes buy it! I live in western NY, and if you dress right and use caution, the XP is a great option for short commutes in most any weather. Even if you store it for the harshest winter months, the Black Friday price will probably not be beat. The most important consideration is taking care of...

Texas to Florida -- With the bike -- In a Prius

I also found that removing the handlebars completely out of the stem allowed me to place my XP down sideways in my RV on the non-geared side. That took away a lot of worry about damage to the derailleur system. I should think that this would work for a car as well.

    Winter riding gear & tips

That is one great-looking winter helmet. The orange color is on point for winter trail riding (but please don't ride on trails during shotgun season!!!)

Texas to Florida -- With the bike -- In a Prius

I have a Toyota Matrix hatchback and my XP fit perfectly. I am not familiar with the Prius but I suspect it probably does not have the same overhead clearance as a Matrix.

    New buyer advice needed

The Black Friday price is officially $879. If you want the bike, buy it at that price. I doubt they will go lower, and given that they are only selling the stock they currently have at this price, I would not wait. They were overwhelmed over the summer, and I think they learned a lesson or two...

    New buyer advice needed

The Black Friday price is $879. No NY State tax was charged when I bought mine, and the shipping was free. I also just bought an extra battery at the $279 price; again, no NY State sales tax added, free shipping.

    Lectric XP

I decided to email Lectric directly this morning about the issue of the seatpost. They responded within two hours. Here is their response: Hey Tom, Thanks for reaching out! Glad to hear you're loving your XP. Upon the release of our brand new suspension posts, we sent them to a couple of our...

    Lectric XP

Issues of its price and quality aside, I'd still want to know if the XP is now shipping with a suspension seat post. Personally I would not expect Lectric to send me one for free, but I do know that sometimes stores will offer 30-day guarantees on price matching, so that if an item falls to a...

    Lectric XP

I think this is the second review I've seen lately that mentions a suspension seat post. Can anyone confirm that the XP is now shipping with a suspension seat post? Or are just reviewers getting them? I'll be getting a suspension seat post in the spring, but not the one on the XP site. Too...

I've seen you giving some great Top Tips on the Surface 604 forums as well (I have a 2017 Rook in addition to my XP) ;)

    Lectric XP

There is always what I like to call the "sweet spot" in any vehicle, where it seems to run the best based on design and components. On my 300cc ICE scooter, it's about 50 MPH. For my cars, about 72 MPH. I find on ebikes that sweet spot is about 15 MPH. I usually get a good cadence at that speed...

    Lectric XP

If anyone's interested in a slightly less wide tire, I would venture to guess that the Rad Runner tire would work on the XP. It's 20"x3.3" and designed to work with a 20x4 inner tube. It's a Kenda K-Rad with Kenda K-Shield puncture resistance. Since it's compatible with the Rad Mini/Stepthru, I...

    Lectric XP

This leads me to wonder what an "alteration" is. Many people here have made all kinds of alterations to their XP, everything from saddles to freewheels. Does this mean if you ride anything other than the stock XP, you have voided your warranty? And how would Lectric know that it was any specific...
