    Disappointed after purchasing an e-bike?

I also have a Rambo Krusader 2.0. I bought it late last year because I wanted the all wheel drive feature. It is very different from our Gazelle bikes in a number of ways. It is chain, not belt drive. It, too, is heavy. Having had the Gazelle e-bikes, I knew somewhat to expect. I has allowed...

    Disappointed after purchasing an e-bike?

No, I bought two Gazelle Ultimate C380+ bicycles in 2022. They are expensive, but I think the old adage applies here, "Buy Once, Cry Once." While it isn't always the case, sometimes you do get what you pay for. One of my other hobbies is amateur radio. Some people in that hobby try to buy the...

Horn, Bell or Voice, how to warn others of your presence and intentions

I am giving some more thought to getting a bell. The one that was on my Gazelle I removed because I didn't think it was all that useful. Is there a certain aftermarket bell that people on here have really liked?

Show us pictures of where you ride your ebikes!

I took a quick ride last night after work. I saw a pair of eyes looking down on me from a tree near the paved multi-use path and took a quick snapshot. We have had an unseasonably mild winter in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota, so I have pretty much ridden all winter on my Rambo Krusader 2.0.

Coast Hi Vis Lighted Safety Vests

Someone on another forums tipped me to this. Coast, who makes flashlights and headlamps, also makes lighted safety vests. This might be a good choice when riding an e-bike. Is anybody here on EBR currently using a lighted vest? https://coastportland.com/search?q=Vest

Winter Is Coming - Biking in Cold Weather

Now that winter is starting to get more real in Minnesota, I am reevaluating my winter riding gear. For those that use a balaclava, it looks like they are not all created equally. I think one that is windproof is a good choice for e-biking. Has anybody here found one/some that are better than...

    Reflective Tape

I am still thinking about adding reflective tape to my helmet. Someone on another forum posted the following: "With reflective tapes, the white is normally the brightest color. A tape that is "SOLAS" rated will have the highest quality and may hold up the longest. If you only buy one color...

    Wrist Mirror

I know that there was a post several years back about a wrist mirror. I used one for ATVing years ago, but I now have a handlebar mirror. While I don't think of a wrist mirror as a replacement for a helmet mirror or handlebar mirror(s), it would be better than no mirror. Also, it might be a...

    Reflective Jacket

I wear a Utility Pro jacket this time of the year. I went with orange because I am often out on horseback or ATVing. Some prefer yellow. Someone on here has mentioned the Brightside side light. I have been running my Streamlight Stinger with the Glow in the Dark Traffic Wand. It does give 360...

    Reflective Jacket

On my bike ride last night, I ran across some other folks walking/running. One of them had a reflective jacket. I don't mean just a strip, but they entire jacket was reflective. I was similar to the one in the video linked below. Maybe it would be good for biking, too.

Are There Class 4 E-Bikes With Belt Drives?

I ended up buying a Rambo Krusader 2.0. I found it one sale at a retailer near me that is also an Rambo Certified Warranty Provider. Riding the Rambo fat tire e-bike, which can operate as front wheel drive, rear wheel drive or all wheel drive, is definitely a little bit different experience than...

E-bike Road safety improvements via motorcycle type mirrors, windshield, lights and horn

Ken, I would not be very comfortable riding in that situation. My wife and I have a 5 acre hobby farm. We live on a gravel road and have a busy State Trunk Highway nearby. It does have shoulders by I usually try to get off Highway 3 as soon as I can. Good luck and whatever you can do to be seen...

Staying warm while riding In the cold winter

That is a great tip. I have double-socked when it gets cold. Usually a thin pair underneath and a thick boot sock over that. That is about as much as I knew.

Staying warm while riding In the cold winter

I am trying to determine what shoes or boots I want to wear once the temperatures drop. I have been wearing the Muckster II, which have been fine during the milder weather. I am considering the Woody Sport Ankle Boot. That might work out for me when it gets colder here in Minnesota...

    Winter Sucks

Interesting. I am invested in the Ryobi 40 volt ecosystem. Did you build your own e-bike or simply retrofit one to use DeWalt batteries?
