Creo 2 Tires Alternatives for Road

Tubeless in general, moves the flat repair from outside at the side of the road to inside in the shop, garage or basement. It is not maintenance free. There are other benefits such as lower pressures and riding characteristics but if you are looking for maintenance free look elsewhere. Tire...

Turbo Creo 2 Comp E5 (aluminum) is out, is a Vado SL 2 next?

I think the New York requirement for e-bikes to meet UL 2849 or similar certification, may drive some changes with other states/cities considering the same regulations. The Creo 2 E5 Comp is not that different from a current Vado SL. I expect with the market pressures the 1.2 motor Vado SL...

Turbo Creo 2 Comp E5 (aluminum) is out, is a Vado SL 2 next?

I missed that. Would it be more accurately described as the dealer version of the site unless they have a lot of stores? I think they are sometimes treated like mushrooms too. My dealer was quite happy to have the business when I had it shipped to them. They can only see what's in stock for...

Turbo Creo 2 Comp E5 (aluminum) is out, is a Vado SL 2 next?

I only see 2022 and 2023 models for the Vado SL filter on the US Specialized site.

Turbo Creo 2 Comp E5 (aluminum) is out, is a Vado SL 2 next?

The Creo 2 Comp E5 briefly showed as available to order. I picked one up for a winter bike. It comes with a SGS UL 2849 certified sticker which may have been the delay.

    Creo and chainring/cassette configurations

It depends which Park chain checker tool some are better than others. The Park CC-4 is inexpensive and considered accurate. Replace the chain at 0.5% stretch to keep your cassette and chain ring from early replacement.

    Creo and chainring/cassette configurations

I'm running a 11-46 cassette, Wolftooth 42 chainring and Shimano Deore XT Di2, Shadow Plus, 11-speed combo for the last 8k miles. I bought the Wolftooth extender but did not need it. I use a 116 link chain. i took the chain keeper off since it didn't really do anything. I had a dropped chain...

Battery Range Experience for Specialized E-Bikes

I'm not sure a RE is necessary for your use case. You are not pushing the range on any single ride. You could just do a short charge before your second ride if you plan to go a little further than your usual.

Not your typical Boost battery install for 23' Levo Comp Carbon.

It's like cutting holes in an I-beam. Holes in the web are OK but holes in the flanges are not. The holes on the SL are on the flats (web). They may have put a doubler in around the TCU (don't know). From the Specialized Owners Manual Supplement. The Creo/Vado SL models are ASTM Condition...

Not your typical Boost battery install for 23' Levo Comp Carbon.

The plug is not a structural part so that would not generally be considered a "filled" hole but at least you already have a place to get it repaired if necessary. Extrapolating from small round holes to that cutout is quite a leap of faith. It may be good enough for what you plan to do with...

Not your typical Boost battery install for 23' Levo Comp Carbon.

Hopefully that cutout doesn't start to propagate a crack in the corners. I would inspect the cutout regularly depending how much and how hard you ride. People should also have reasonable expectations from manufacturers. They are not going to give you proprietary data to modify their system in...

How to turn off Specialized Turbo Vado SL EQ Lights?

As a reference, you can find documentation of the Turbo SL light system, allowable lights and wiring diagram on pages 32-34 of the "Turbo Creo 2 Rider's Workbook". It can be downloaded from the Specialized Support Center by navigating to the Turbo Creo 2 / Creo SL page. Dealers have access to...

My chain is jumping off the chain ring on my Creo

I also aligned my derailleur and I've been meticulous about chain care after I replaced the chain ring and cassette. I may try and order one of the chain guides just to try.

    specialized creo 2

Remember to use patience and care when plugging in the extender cable. Do a test pull to make sure it's locked because if it comes loose your while pedaling your crank will break it. Don't do it when you are in a rush to get going or you can damage the connector too.

Turbo Creo 2 Comp E5 (aluminum) is out, is a Vado SL 2 next?

If you go to the support site, you can download the Creo 2 User Manual and Rider Workbook that have more specific details than the marketing material. Example the 49cm model has 165mm cranks. https://support.specialized.com/turbocreosl/en/service-maintenance/manuals-tech-content

    Creo have "walk assist mode"?

You would need to have one of the accessory bar adapter attachments with a 22.2 bar section to fit the control to a Creo. There are pictures somewhere in the forum with a Levo control mounted from a couple of years ago.

My chain is jumping off the chain ring on my Creo

What is the part number? The motor mounts are the same between the Creo SL and Creo 2. The chain guide is attached to one of the motor mount bolts. I haven't dropped a chain since I switched to a Wolf Tooth chain ring and waxed chains. I was dropping chains at 4000 miles with the Praxis when...
