That opinion is not unpopular on this forum. Maybe it would be on one of the analog cycling forums. Getting to work not sweaty is definitely a big benefit of ebikes.

I doubt it. I sold my 20 year old Dodge Ram last year and already miss it for certain things. For construction workers, tradesmen, farmers, and anyone with a lot of land, there is no substitute for a pickup truck.

A bicycle bottom bracket isn't a shelf. It is a short tube that houses bearings for the crankset. If your bike doesn't have one, you will have a hard time installing a motor that is intended to mount into one.

It's worth calling some nearby shops to ask if they will work on the bike you are interested in. Not all shops will only work on bikes they sell.

Also, I don't stream music. All of my music is stored locally on my phone (mp3's). My Garmin watch also has a subset of my music collection stored on it and can connect to a bluetooth headset. I don't like to carry a phone when I am running.
