    Pinarello Dealer Experience 2026

Next month, I was invited to attend the Pinarello Dealer Experience in Treviso, Italy. It is three days of bike nirvana, including a factory tour, a new product line launch, a dealer trade showcase, and finishes up with a ride on one of the new bikes in the Dolomites. Analog only. It's going to...

New Creo 2 owner using Wahoo Element Bolt

I don't know about the Creo, but with other drive units, there is more than one e-bike sensor to pair. Each sensor has unique data. Try looking for more sensors that aren't paired. It can't hurt, as you can always remove them.

No, he crashed last week training on his TT bike. You can see the scabs on his legs.

Watching the peloton - Professional Road Racing thread 2026

Today's stage was one of the best all year. I'll admit it, I like time trials. I was pretty good at them. I only did one team time trial (40km) in my career, and it was really hard. Often, watching time trials is like watching paint dry. Today was the exception. This race had everything. A very...

    The transition

The "whole new approach" has been here for a while. Subsidize solar to homeowners that have capability to make use of it, and then charge every ratepayer for the privilege of giving them a break on their bill. This is why I pay some of the highest electric rates in the country. My transmission...

    The transition

That, and the thing that man has fought over since the beginning of time, land. Governments have already circumvented zoning laws, paid off politicians, and taken privately owned land for the "greater good". With the current political climate in the western world, this will only escalate.

How Often And How Long Are Class 3 E-Bikes Traveling At More Than 20 MPH?

And there are street legal golf carts as well. Lots of people have them around here. So should they be banned because some kids get a hold of an estate-only cart and raise havoc on the streets? Certainly not. I only work 2 days/week at the shop, but every week since it warmed up, a kid or kids...

How Often And How Long Are Class 3 E-Bikes Traveling At More Than 20 MPH?

That's right, but that doesn't stop politicians from trying. The Class system, as flawed as it is, applies only to e-bikes built by a manufacturer that cares about selling into a regulated state or country. It does nothing for e-motorcycles, e-trikes, e-scooters, e-skateboards, and whatever...

Watching the peloton - Professional Road Racing thread 2026

I'll start watching tomorrow. Seixas may be sitting back as long as he is in the GC hunt. This race is basically a TdF tuneup, so winning may not the the only goal. Breakaways win when the peloton either doesn't care or misjudges the strength of the break. The break is always at the mercy of...

What are the 5 slots on an Aventon battery?

All it does is make a big mess. Extra flux is handy for dirty, large conductor applications.

How Often And How Long Are Class 3 E-Bikes Traveling At More Than 20 MPH?

I ride my electric flat bar bike at 23-25mph on Eco, 120w max. I am not putting out 400w. 300w maybe, on the front.

The trade name for those connectors is Corning Presslok. Yes, the glass people. Lots of imitations abound.

That was a joke, Stefan. It's not unusual to get a gift from the lodging staff, especially at small ins and B&B's, but it is not expected. That was a thoughtful gift.

How Often And How Long Are Class 3 E-Bikes Traveling At More Than 20 MPH?

The speed limit on the rail trails close to me is 15mph. I routinely ride my Class 3 over 20mph to pass Class 1/2 bikes, and when the trail is open. I will slow to around 15mph, and often much less, around kids, families, and dogs.
