I too would like to add dropper seat post to my bicycle so I cloud put a foot on the ground at stops but it would be too high with my Kinekt suspension seat.

This is sort of what we experienced as young men was that our cars did not go faster by going to overdrive but in fact would slow down. Diminishing returns for gearing up.

The torque can be the same but mid drive torque can be multiplied at the wheel because of one's ability to do it through changing gears. There is only one gear from motor to wheel on a hub drive.

I push my bikes over on the kick stand just enough to raise the rear wheel and prop it up some way. Get creative with a way to hold it there.

The last two bikes I had that same problem. The soloution was to just lengthen the kickstand a bit so it held the bike more upright. In my case they were not adjustable so it took a bit of ingenuity to make them longer. Look at it carefully and see if it can be lengthened and then drill a hole...

Be aware they can be dangerous until you get used to them. I use traps and even they are dangerous especially if you have to come to an emergency stop. while riding slow. I have the elbow scars to prove it.

The question was NOT why anyone would want a throttle. Who cares what YOU would want.

The seat post change could not cause a spoke to break. In my opinion it was the loose spokes causing movement at the hub that wore the spokes and weakened them.

I don'r know about bicycle brakes but on some two wheel vehicles the front and rear brakes are sized so that with equal hand squeeze the front wheel will do more braking than the rear.

Being a smart a## my suggestion is to find a different route. I have near 1500 miles on mine and haven't had any flats yet. Knock on wood.
