Blue PAS level numbers are almost invisible.

I got a secondary (rechargeable) light I use for the front and cheap blinking red LED light on the rear rack so I don't have to use the bike's lights. It happened to me also the first time I went out. Couldn't see in what level PAS I was. Really should find a solution to that. For the 9.9...

Blue PAS level numbers are almost invisible.

I was going to also but figured it would be helpful for the bike owners to know that up to date resources for their bikes are available online. There's also a YouTube video available. I'm a more independent type of guy and will do Google searches before posting, but like to help out. Now if I...

Blue PAS level numbers are almost invisible.

Did you have the lights on? This, unfortunately dims the display. If not, in the advance settings you can adjust the display luminous. I have mine at 100%. To go to settings, press + and - at the same time. The manual is available online in the support section.

I just realised that a bigger wrench is needed for the crank arms.

    Torque wrench to assemble necessary?

That's fine for working on a bike... the one I got on Amazon was about the same price and have used it a few times, no problem. It's not rocket science!

    Torque wrench to assemble necessary?

Cranks, seat post, brakes. If your going to do most of the upkeep yourself, why not. Amazon has them. Get metric hex sockets too.

    R1UP waterproofed wiring/connections on 700?

I just wonder how weather resistant the connections are. They could easily be made water resistant but the controller itself? It is at the bottom of the compartment With the battery in place as well as the fenders, you could go through small puddles but I would not try crossing a small...

    R1UP waterproofed wiring/connections on 700?

Any bike, any manufacturer, show me one that is waterproof! If the Aventon is the same bike and they claim it's waterproof, why are you hesitating? Or perhaps there's a part of you that says that Aventon is exagerating or misrepresenting that claim. Stop worrying and start riding!

    R1UP waterproofed wiring/connections on 700?

If you look down the battery compartment, it's open and can see wires. I wrap this when transporting the bike.

What size tire can the R1U 700 take?...

That's a very good point. It does take about 2" off the post but I would be surprised even at 5'2" if she'd be at the lowest since I believe the rider height range starts at 5'. You could ask on the FB page if anybody at 5'2" could measure the seat post between the frame and seat. But again...

What size tire can the R1U 700 take?...

Instead of the old post, this one goes in with the sleeve (shim) and voilà. It's always a good thing to put a bit of grease in so the post won't seize after exposure to salt or rain... You just need to install the seat. Will you be assembling the bike yourselves? What you need is 350mm...

What size tire can the R1U 700 take?...

Bonjour, I recognize you from the FB page. If you're looking for the one thing to change and you won't regret, would be a good suspension seat post. So much smoother ride. I got a Suntour on EBay that has good reviews and the best I could find for the buck. The one I got came with a shim...

Are the 700 XR handlebars OK?

he added : " Generally we try not to change parts between generation/photo updates, unless they are upgrades. The photos also don't reflect some other upgrades that were made. Sometimes, we hope with upgrades customers will just be happy to see them. So we want to make sure they are popular if...

Are the 700 XR handlebars OK?

here's the answer I just received : "Hello, some 700 generations have a fixed stem, while some have an adjustable 110mm stem. We we're gathering feedback and opinions. The stems are very similar, but we will be using the 110mm adjustable stem as is on your bike from here on out as it seems to...
