Replacing Sora Derailleur on ST1 after accident

Well I bit it on my ST1. Took a very sharp left turn (more than 90 degrees) on very uneven/bumpy pavement and had my left foot/pedal down and it scraped on the ground and the bike spun out under me. I flew over the bike, landing on my belly/arms. I was able to get up! I'M ALIVE! No...

ST1 owners - What flat tire kit do you carry with you?

If you buy an ST1 stromer, you may want to ask your dealer to show you how to change the rear tire. They should do that for you and it will you will have confidence. BTW, the ST1 is a really nice bike.

ST1 owners - What flat tire kit do you carry with you?

You can do it. It is manageable, but you should take your time and take the rear wheel off at home so you are familiar with things and not frustrated post flat tire. The big difference for patching/changing the rear wheel are; requires a wrench (no big deal), HEAVY rear tire (if you can...

ST1 owners - What flat tire kit do you carry with you?

Yea, I rode >1000 miles on my ST1, and then got 1 flat, rear tire, big pain in the ass. The flat caused some other damage and with a different rear wheel, I got a 2nd flat. I have an REI tube in there now, but will eventually switch it over to a Schwalble tube, unless you can recommend...

How hard to install Body Float seat post?

I just installed one lastnight. They have some good videos online that shows you how. It took about 15-20 minutes. It would help to have someone to help adjust the pre load but it is not necessary. The Tech, Charlie, is very receptive to questions.

    New ST-1: battery life?

Seems a little low but if your battery is new, there could be a calibration involved. I weigh a more than you and ride 25 miles/day. If I ride half the distance at Tour and half the distance at Power I finish with about 37% of charge. However no matter what I do, when I charge the battery...

I have a medium ST1. I needed more room to stretch out my arms and also raise the handle bars to be more upright. I bought this part for $40 and it worked perfect for me. Ritchey, Adjustable Stem, ST Comp Adjustable 120MM/45D. On the box 31.8 is checked (I think this is the diameter of...

Went 1000 miles on a ST1 and no flats, then got 2 flats in less than 100 miles, both on the rear tire. Put together a kit and practiced removal of the rear tire so hopefully now I can address on the road. 19mm wrench to remove rear tire tire levers (optional) 5mm hex for removal front tire...

Flat tires - how much of a problem should I expect?

J.R. Thanks for the video of the tube that can be installed without taking off the wheel. I will think about that. SOrry for such a basic question, but will this be a sufficient tube replacement for the stock Schwable tires on the bike or are the stock tubes more "hefty". (Link Removed - No...

Flat tires - how much of a problem should I expect?

I got a flat on the road and did not have the tools to take off the rear wheel. Wen I got home it was not trivial to remove the rear tire. I will practice wheel removal (front and back), Will also put together a tool kit, pump and spare tube for future rides. Is there any special...

Stromer Customer Service - above and beyond!

That Stromer ST1 warranty is pretty good but they went above and beyond the call of duty for me. I had a simple maintenance issue that I tried to address myself. I really messed things up. I contacted Stromer in San Diego, explained what happened and asked for an appropriate dealer that could...
