Ride1up Roadster v2 Battery Drain Test

Man that’s a good looking bike. I would have loved to get the roadster but throttle was a deal breaker for me.

    What to buy

Yeah for sure. Light and power is a tough combo.

    What to buy

Hopefully I can be of some help. Buy the strongest bike you can afford! Regardless of specs! The strongest and most affordable bike I know is the 2000w peak Ariel Ride X-Class for $1899. This will get 200lbs up Mount Everest. https://arielrider.com/products/x-class-52v

    Accessories for your XP

Oops I just replied to the the other junk alarm posted. +1 for the juiced! It’s awesome. Side note, I didn’t charge it before storage, didn’t charge it for 3 months while in storage, and have been riding for a week and using it constantly and it’s just as great as day 1. Good quality.

    Accessories for your XP

I would HIGHLY recommend the Juiced Bikes Horn/Alarm. Extremely loud, alarm works perfectly every time and just sensitive enough to only go off when the bike moves, and not with the wind...

TRUE upgrade to the Lectric XP

Hey all, Hope you have all been well this winter! Just managed to dig my XP out of the garage and finally hit the 1000 mile mark. Woohoo. So! I have about $1600 (maybe a little more for the right bike) to spend and am looking to upgrade from the XP. Things we love about the XP: fast, cheap...

    Lectric XP

Did exactly the same. Works perfectly and gives me back control when accelerating.

Xp owners already looking for a new ebike.

I would like more power, gotta say. Top Speed is great, but at 70% battery the bike already drops it’s top speed, and after 50% it’s pretty pathetic. I would like a bike a little quicker off the line, and able to maintain top speed for most of its battery capacity. Aside from the Ariel Ride...

They automatically draw attention as well, which is what you want to avoid if you are “breaking the law” riding at 28mph. Most people don’t bag an eye lid at me on my blacked out XP.

    Lectric XP

More importantly, you can control the bike with full grips of both hands, and accelerate at the same time. Very important to be able to do both at the same time if you are city riding. City drivers can be brainless and dangerous.

    Lectric XP Motor Torque

EBR rates the XP as 60nm of torque. I tend to trust their analysis over most other but each to their own. https://electricbikereview.com/lectric-ebikes/lectric-xp/

The problem is with the Juiced bikes is they are not really bicycles anymore. And that’s fine, but then just buy a scooter. Or any other electric vehicle. With the Lectric XP, and most other non moped style bikes, is you can actually get some exercise. Isn’t that the point in a bicycle? You need...

    Lectric XP

Yeah the train isn’t too awful. I’m from London originally and THOSE are truly awful trains. The old trouble and strife helps out too ;)

If we want businesses to be healthy and succeed, our definition of ”reasonable” has to change in this global crisis unfortunately.

    Lectric XP

I ride 28mph, 7 miles to work and 7 miles back, every day. City streets, pot holes, terrible surfaces etc. No issues with the tires. The issue you will have is the small handle bar width making small adjustments feel like big adjustments, ie “unstable”. I have the Velo Orange Klunker and it is a...

    Accessories for your XP

So interestingly, the one listed on Aliexpress and bought by many members on this forum WAS $299 for 14ah for months and months. I have had my eye on it. I look today and its $510! There seems to have been a price hike to import tariffs or some such. I would wait because i think its a safe bet...

Rain proofing the XP suggestions please!

Hey all, So the weather has finally given up here in Chicago and it’s time for 6 months of winter. I understand the XP is in no way water proof and I will certainly not be riding in torrential rain, but I wondered what steps I can take to ensure I’m as water resistant as possible. First...

Anyone have any idea when the September orders will ship?

Honestly, it might seem weird to say considering how popular the XP is, but it’s underrated in my opinion. I probably use this bike differently to most people, I belt along at 30mph to work every day, 7 miles on a straight road with a bike lane. I changed to the 11-28t so I bust my ass pedaling...

Show me your XP's in your car!!! Folded , unfolded, sideways, upside down whatever as long as it fits.

Agreed. If I did it all over again, I wouldn’t get a folding bike. I thought it would be convenient but it’s the opposite really. Saying that, everything else about the bike is perfect so still super happy.
