    Turbo Como 3.0 Test Drive

That timeline doesn't sound right to me, especially for a version update (not a new app). I just checked with my own Submissions team to find out how long it takes for our mobile apps to go live. My Submissions Manager says, "Updates take hours to a couple of days." She also said that Apple has...

    What's your maintenance routine?

I haven't owned such a nice bike before, and definitely never one with expensive electronic components. I'd like to make sure I'm taking proper care of this investment, plus it's my ride to work. So what do you all do to your bikes on a regular basis? I lube my chain once or twice a week...

    Do you break spokes?

I took the bike to my LBS for some other warranty work and to repair this spoke. Specialized ended up condemning the bike because of the other issues and giving me a brand new one. I'm eager to see how the spokes hold up on this bike. I'm a heavy guy, but I think most of the trouble is with...

Total Loss: Specialized replaced my Vado 2.0

I just realized that my avatar photo is of the two of us from a couple of billion years ago. That was when we were first dating and she brought me "home" from college to meet her family at camp out in the desert. She asked me, "Oh by the way, you know how to ride a motorcycle, don't you?" I...

Total Loss: Specialized replaced my Vado 2.0

At the beginning of the month I took my "new-ish" Vado 2.0 in for some warranty work. I've posted about the problems here already, but the two issues were a grinding noise down in the crank region and the speedometer surges that would cut out the motor when I was climbing hills. After a few...

    vado accessories question

The rack goes on the back wheel and then the pack mounts to the rack. My only complaint is that the pack stands kind of tall even if it's empty, and sometimes I catch my foot on it when I'm swinging my leg over.

    vado accessories question

I've been happy with this combo: https://www.thule.com/en-us/us/bike-accessories/rear-bike-racks/thule-tour-rack-_-100090 https://www.thule.com/en-us/us/bike-accessories/panniers/thule-pack-n-pedal-trunk-bag-_-pp_100055

    Do you break spokes?

I've never had a broken spoke before, but I've broken two spokes on my Vado 2.0 in less than 600 miles. I'm curious to know how often the average Turbo rider breaks a spoke.

Turbo Vado 4.0 - mysterious torque problem?

Here's a thread I started about the motor problem: https://electricbikereview.com/forums/threads/jerky-vado-2-0.24109/

Turbo Vado 4.0 - mysterious torque problem?

That's interesting and not too different from the issues I've experienced. I've ridden about 2/3 of the miles/km you have, just under 600 miles (1000km). I've broken two spokes so far, which is two more than I have ever broken on any other bike. Granted, I've pedaled far more miles and far...

    Jerky Vado 2.0

Hi ER - Nope, it's a standard bike with full top tube ball-crushing capabilities. I've never understood why men's biles have the top tubes and women's don't. That's a topic for another day though.

    Jerky Vado 2.0

I'm wondering if anyone else is having this problem... Pedaling up steep hills in any of the modes (Eco, "Normal", or Turbo) the speedo will read some absurdly high number (28 mph, 41 mph, etc.). If I could pedal that fast uphill, I wouldn't need the doggone pedal assist. It's really dangerous...

    Vado 5 motor failure

How did you get Mission Control to work with a Vado?

Experience with the Turbo Vado 3.0

Interesting. Not arguing, but wouldn't that double the number of charges if he charged it twice a day instead of once?

Two issues with new Vado 2.0

Yesterday I was riding home about 50 yards behind a guy I sat next to on our commuter train. I was gaining on him, but I didn't want to be a jerk and blow past him, so I turned off pedal assist and just pedaled behind him. Surprisingly, I still gained on him and had to just coast to stay behind...

    The new turbo Vado 2017

I don't remember the Specialized website advertising current support for Mission Control for the Vado so boldly before: https://www.specialized.com/us/en/busy-lives-call-for-faster-bikes

    The new turbo Vado 2017

Very interesting. Did they say anything about the iOS version? I wonder what a "big mistake" is?

    The new turbo Vado 2017

"They" was actually "he". He was the tech support rep I was transferred to when I called with an unrelated question. After he answered my question, I figured I'd bust his chops a little about the app. He told me that the iOS development was complete and they were just waiting for completion on...

    The new turbo Vado 2017

They told me about a month ago that iOS was done and they were still working on Android. I think they're really struggling with the truth.

    Specialized Vado

I bought this cable and tried it out this morning. *Sad Trombone* My iPhone didn't recognize it and didn't charge.
