Yamaha: "the mid drive ebike you never knew you wanted, at a price you can afford"

I know my LBS has been extremely helpful. I called them 3 weeks after I purchased my bike and asked if there was a way to make my bike go faster. At the time I really thought I wanted that.... since then 20mph is fast enough. My bike shop offered to let me trade my bike for something faster...

New to Ebikes, in fact bikes in general

I recommend renting and testing out some ebikes. Your wife and you sound like you have different wants. I think renting and trying out several ebikes together may help you decide what you actually want. Good luck ebikes are so much fun.

Ebike for Short But Hilly Commute

I would recommend the Giant Lafree E+2. It has a Yamaha mid drive motor. It rides like a dream. It will take every hill like a champ. It's available at your local bike shop (LBS). It is $2k. It comes in 3 sizes and 2 colors. The Lafree E+1 has a belt drive and it's priced a $2.4k. Either...

    RadCity or Aventon Pace 500

I know you wanting to compare Pace vs. Rad.... I would choose the Pace. Check out an Amego. They have it all in that price point. I have the Lafree E+2. It's $2k.... the Yamaha motor and LBS is well worth the little extra money.

    Not quite bike newbie

The Embark is a really nice bike. I am pleasantly surprised to see Costco carrying a quality bike. I have a Giant bike with a Yamaha motor. I love it but bosch motors really are fantastic as well. You wont be disappointed.

Yamaha: "the mid drive ebike you never knew you wanted, at a price you can afford"

Is it possible that it's something that particular LBS may have done? You have a warranty I wouldn't just give up. Yamaha is a very good company.... I love my bike. I know it can be frustrating but I would try again.

Yamaha: "the mid drive ebike you never knew you wanted, at a price you can afford"

I really couldn't have said this better myself. I absolutely love my ebike. I don't know how Yamaha did it but I cannot hear my motor EVER!!! I also cannot tell I ride an ebike unless I turn my PAS off. I think that maybe the low prices (my Lafree was $2k) make people think they are getting...

    Not an ebiker yet

Those Electra Townies are nice....especially if your looking for a casual ride. You get that sit back feet on the ground feel with Townie. I have a Giant Lafree E+2.... I love it. It's a bit more upright than the Townie. I chose it because I am looking to shed lbs and am able to pedal harder...

York County,Pa. USA YCP Bans all ebikes on local rail trail

I don't get this.... I have a class 1 Ebike. So many times my hubby on his dinosaur (reg.bike) is averaging 18mph to 26mph on his hybrid Trek. I sometimes go faster than he does but usually I am climbing hills at about 13mph when I pass him. When I go down hill the ONLY way I can keep up with...
