Frequent access problems: “Oops! We ran into some problems"

I noticed AI bots on this site over a year ago; obvious by their responses.

    I got a big surprize....

Only a few minor aspects of security + reduced lines going into boarding areas (includes Precheck.) Last time going through checkpoint we were surprised how many had Precheck compared to 2 or 3 years ago. Biggest benefit is re-entering country.

    I got a big surprize....

Our Drivers License has been a Real ID for over 5 years. It's good to read the TSA is doing their job.

    The transition

Be interesting to see what they had for the electrical system. There are many with LiFePO4 batteries and solar/grid/alternator charging systems in vans that are trouble free; but most also use listed components. There are a lot of Chinese crap copycat components out there; hopefully tariffs...

    New York State ebike legislation

Foolish if the speed limit doesn't apply to all bikes.

    I got a big surprize....

Congrats on finally being selected! Although I haven't been on an HF, we have participated in the return welcome. TSA check in should be a nothing event for you. I assume HF has a site that describes what can and can't go through security check. If they don't, shame on them. Spoiler alert...

    Gazelle Ultimate C380 HMB

    Not a mountain biker.

    Gazelle Ultimate C380 HMB

Correct. Hands work just fine for hydration except when canoe racing.

We used a straw system when we raced canoes; never really liked them for hiking or biking.

In our older age (70), we get off every 20 minutes or so. Hydrate, stretch, butt relief; it's a good thing for us. Also, with the upright riding position, it's a long way to those bosses compared to the drop bars we used to ride. If we wanted to hydrate on the go, we'd look at bar bottle holders.

    “No e-bikes allowed”

Perhaps I missed what you are riding; Class 2? Are you doing a bunch of prep riding b4 your adventure? Having done several distance rides (in my younger days, analog not ebike) most people that suffered didn't have sufficient seat time b4 the ride (typically 500ish miles in 7 days with (1)...

Where do you keep your bike?

That's what we do. To the original post question: In our attached garage or in our van if we're traveling with them. The only time they are not in one of those 2 places is if we are on a ride.

    “No e-bikes allowed”

It sounds like many have negative riding experiences with vehicles; I never have. In our younger riding days we stayed off most US and state highways, traveled mostly on county roads. Road biking experience is limited to IA, IL, NY; miles of "back roads" in all directions. Grab a Gazetteer or...

    “No e-bikes allowed”

Carrying enough solar to make a difference will probably be nearly canceled out by weight and added drag; unless you plan to park for a bunch of time. We designed support for distance riding with a van with 440 watts of panels on the roof and 400 AHr of batteries inside. 2 couples; 3 riding, 1...

    Do you ride with someone?

We never ride alone. I can't imagine a case that towing would be the best/only solution.

Charging port cover - won't seat

Gotta love the new ad algorithm.

Charging port cover - won't seat

Less than perfect design. I've found when closing the cover, it doesn't, doesn't, doesn't close and with no noticeable change in technique, it does. Frustrating!
