Riding with music: Any attempt to sync cadence with beat or vice versa?

I never ride or walk with music; my preference is quiet, nature and awareness. I don't run unless I mis-timed a road crossing; then its more like a 5 step jog.

Riding with music: Any attempt to sync cadence with beat or vice versa?

Probably would help if I had rhythm! Although I no longer do the "up on the pegs" thing going up a hill, that's what I imagine happening to me with music when I ride.

Riding with music: Any attempt to sync cadence with beat or vice versa?

I've been reading this with interest. I can't imagine pedalling to a beat (walking/running yes). Do you find that you go away from smooth spinning and going to push-push-push-push?

    The absurdity of subsidies.

The end of the EV subsidy in US shouldn't change EV sales. People shouldn't need to be bribed to save the world.

    Just for fun...

I have 2 computers that are Windows 7 vintage. Bought 2 copies of 10, installed one and haven't done the other yet. Went to upgrade to 11 and the hardware isn't compatible. These computers do everything I need (most intensive is photography) very well; hardware is obsolete due to software.

30 Days Ago, Needed Oxygen, a Walker, and a Home Health Aid to Leave The House. Today...

So you aren't working with a cardiologist? I'm not a cardiologist, but have one and my brother is one. Please do not consider this as the best advice for you, but under my conditions, they have said "if you feel ok doing it, do it. If you feel bad, stop doing it."

30 Days Ago, Needed Oxygen, a Walker, and a Home Health Aid to Leave The House. Today...

I went through cardiac rehab 4 or so years ago. They gave me guidelines with recommended increases in exertion, so that should be available to you. They let me advance faster since I was 3 times a week in a rehab center (insurance allowance makes a difference) with real time monitoring. I was...

Trump cancels trail, bike-lane grants deemed hostile to cars.

No "seem to". It's a hell no for Federal gov't $ for local "nice to haves". The city we live in currently has $177M federal with a use deadline recently extended to 2026 for new Amtrak service from Chicago to here (+ $225M State funds). If we should get that kind of benefit, we (people and...

I agree. So raise state/local taxes and invest in any improvements to quality you'd like.

Trump cancels trail, bike-lane grants deemed hostile to cars.

I agree we should take care of our neighbors; not have the federal government intervene/redistribute/etc.

Trump cancels trail, bike-lane grants deemed hostile to cars.

If we were to follow "The Federal government shouldn't be involved in anything that favors or disfavors any person, group, community, state, etc." there would be no overpayment. So I think we agree.

If we go grocery shopping. My wife goes in and I watch the bikes. I don't know if they would disappear, but don't want to find out.

Doesn't it make sense for these "improvements" to be funded at the state/local level? Why should someone in the Midwest subsidize a change that primarily benefits local people somewhere else.
