hello from an old guy with bad legs

Definitely not as classy as yours but here is a cruiser bike I bought many years ago to ride with my wife when she was riding a Schwinn Cruiser 6. 4 years ago I added a mid drive conversion which can climb very well (I live on a small but named mountain so hills almost everywhere here). The...

    TSDZ2b power setting problems

Sorry, I don't have any help to offer regarding your TSDZ2 but consider doing a trip report with pictures or if you have posted a report on another forum please post a link. I do have two TSDZ2 (not "B") and find it interesting that people post various issues regarding performance and need for...

Show us pictures of where you ride your ebikes!

Sorry I couldn't find anything better. I like it except that BH had the Yamaha walk assist button deactivated which is inexcusable.

Going on 6 years that I've had my BH gravel bike. Fun out and back 29 mile ride yesterday with 2600ft elevation gain. Not happening without an ebike.

    Rear sprocket and hub issue

Park Tool has a instructional on freehub servicing https://www.parktool.com/en-us/blog/repair-help/freehub-service I disassembled shimano freehub once which had pawls sticking but it may not be worth your time, unless you're curious, vs just replacing a typical Shimano or Sram $20-$30 freehub.

Live in South Africa. Looking for advise on convert a Kona Cube Duel suspension MTB to an e-bike.

Keep in mind that mid drive conversions often result in a very poor chainline when on the largest cassette cog. I think that Toseven chainrings can come with a 9mm offset which might be adequate but even with a aftermarket 10mm offset chainring on my older TSDZ2 the chainline can be...

REVIEW: QR-E 250W ELECTRIC BOOSTER BICYCLE MOTOR AND B60i AND B70 BATTERY

Update on my new to me used Pro of unknown age. I've used it on fairly flat gravel trails including Palouse to Cascades rail to trail in Washington but haven't gotten around to trying it on steep hills until this AM. Rode it up and down my neighborhood road which gains 400ft in 1 mile with a...

Another "what bikes might be a good fit for me" post, but for a short woman

No knowledge of this bike other than from their web site but it looks interesting. 29lbs, full carbon folder. $1599 though. https://newurtopia.com/products/urtopia-carbon-fold?variant=46382812823800

Where in MI? I keep wanting to get back to Michigan for a visit and do the DALMAC ride but haven't gotten around to it. 2300 mile drive to get to East Lansing starting point sort of puts me off.

Crazy Walmart mid drive deal $349

I'm thinking about buying one to ride to the gym in an area with a lot of homeless and reported thefts. 30 miles round trip but I only need assist less than 10 miles of steep roads. Did yours come with the 10ah battery instead of 7.8ah? Impressive if it performs better than tsdz2.

Unfortunately fire smoke/air quality is an issue again this year. Webcam from Diamond Lake just north of Crater Lake. Webcams at Crater Lake are being upgraded and not currently online.

    Creo 2 Flat Bar Conversion

Right, there is a distinction between well thought out changes to make a bike more to the liking of the owner vs creating some sort of chimera. Drops to flats on the right frame (like the skitch and pinarello) seem more the former than the latter, depending on individual preferences.

    Creo 2 Flat Bar Conversion

Sorry, I wasn't referring to your post but to another poster who seems to think that flat bar and drop bar bikes must have different geometries otherwise the manufacturer is just cheap and trying to save money by slapping different type bars on the same frame - to which Pinarello and Santa Cruz...

    Creo 2 Flat Bar Conversion

A quick look at geometry specs between the flat bar nitro E5 allroad and drop bar E9 gravel seem to indicate that the frames/geometries are the same for both flat and drop bars. I think the OP was just asking for how to convert rather than a discussion of pros and cons of conversion based on...

    Creo 2 Flat Bar Conversion

This thread made me curious if same model flat bar bikes have a different geometry than drops and looked up the skitch. Same frame/geometry for both flat and drops. I've seen that for other brand bikes also so even premium manufacturers don't seem to think that flat bar instead of drop on same...

REVIEW: QR-E 250W ELECTRIC BOOSTER BICYCLE MOTOR AND B60i AND B70 BATTERY

It looks like you would have plenty of room but Qiroll lists measurement requirements. I'm curious why you are thinking of a Qiroll rather than a light weight front hub motor like BF installs OEM. Switch might make a compatible kit or you could buy individual components

REVIEW: QR-E 250W ELECTRIC BOOSTER BICYCLE MOTOR AND B60i AND B70 BATTERY

I wasn't planning to disassemble the battery so I didn't pull the pack out of the aluminum can mostly because of the expandable foam mess. Really I only removed the top cap because it was slightly loose and came off easily with a careful wiggling. It seems like it should be easy enough even...

REVIEW: QR-E 250W ELECTRIC BOOSTER BICYCLE MOTOR AND B60i AND B70 BATTERY

In case anyone is interested I noticed the top of my H70 battery was very slightly loose so it was easy to gently wiggle it off of the aluminum can. Here's what it looks like. It wasn't as I expected, instead of glue all around the cap it looks like a strip of regular electrical tape with a...
