I put a front hub on my wife's Biria Easy step which she loves. I also played around a bit with a rear hub geared motor. They both work well but I dislike the wiring mess/external controller. Keyde seems to have carved out a niche for an extremely clean installation which appeals to me.

I did get a complete wheel/motor kit. Not entirely sure but I think the seller (who is a Keyde distributor) laced the hub into a wheel himself. If you're interested in buying a complete wheel maybe you can ask the seller what model rim they use as well as spokes. It may not be a premium rim...

Don't get me wrong, peterecosse is definitely the authority. But copied from a distributer listing of the thru axle motor: "Complete wheel with 500W Keyde S110-TA Rear motor" seems to indicate that the Keyde thru axle version is a S110 with thru axle compatible features vs the solid axle...

Unless I'm mistaken the keyde web site only lists S110 available as thru axle. P110 appears to be solid axle. Isn't your Giant thru?

Thanks Dave. I should have checked before I went since my goal was to ride up Larch Mountain Rd. before the snow gate road closure goes into effect soon. That was on the west side past the hwy30 closure. Still was a nice day to be out even if I missed out on what I had planned to do.

Entering the rainy season but nice weather for a ride today. Unfortunately cut short because historic hwy30 in the waterfall area was closed to bikes for some reason.

How are you planning to put a rear disc brake caliper on that bike? I have an old 10 speed steel bike frame that I'm thinking of converting to disc brake on the back and might buy one of these to weld on. The other caliper adapters that I've seen look sort of sketchy. \
