Issue(s) with Specialized App & 'Smart Control'

I did a 23/24 mi. ride with no issues today. But, as previously referenced, it's odd that I have the experiences I referenced. Thanks for your input.

Issue(s) with Specialized App & 'Smart Control'

Yes, the Specialized App (the newer replacement issued not the old Orange Mission Control app, the new black 'Specialized' app). I reworded to post to reflect the Specialized app referenced.

Issue(s) with Specialized App & 'Smart Control'

I'll attempt to summarize. Planned a ride, set the Specialized app control to 35-mile expected distance, left all other setting as is, never really care about remaining battery, elevation, etc., just set it and forget it. Worked as advertised, been using since I learned that I preferred it over...

    A new Vado 5.0 with Como 5.0 handlebars-an experiment

Still the same setup. Really no negatives or anything worse, only better. Dealer got me OEM Como handlebars, and exact duplicate ones are 3rd party available. I'd have to look at my notes to provide any info as to which items I used. No cable swaps were needed. It to me, is a perfect...

Anyone see/hear about anything 'new' in the e-bike arena of Specialized (Vado 4x)???????

    2022 Como no Eco-Sport-Turbo control

OK, picked up the Como today from the LBS, he tells me that when I put on my kickstand, I pinched the wires for the BROSE SPEED SENSOR CABLE (V2), 650MM LENGTH. I out that kickstand on almost 2 years ago, odd how it happened. Anyway, $20 part, all fixed.

    2022 Como no Eco-Sport-Turbo control

Dropped off the bike at the LBS on Tuesday, they 'think' it is a damaged/broken speed sensor wire. One is on order. (the wire that goes to the sensor on the rear wheel/frame that gets its signals from the magnets attached to the rear rotor) To me, the oddity is that although the MasterMind...

    2022 Como no Eco-Sport-Turbo control

Specialized 2022 MasterMind Turbo Connect / Control Unit is newer than the older referenced type you mention. There is no battery in it. It works, it displays, it shows eveything it is supposed to show, and it functions with the exception of the "modes" (ECO/SPORT/TURBO) as well as SMART I...

    2022 Como no Eco-Sport-Turbo control

My wife and I went for a ride today and after a 32 mile ride with 53% remaining her bike died with no assistance whatsoever. Upon returning the bicycle to the car, I inspected it and could find nothing to validate the reasoning as to why there was no assistance in Eco sport or turbo. When...

Massive sale at Specialized U.K. 50% off.

In ant event, I still reference my other post that states: "Again, not wanting to start a plethora of disputes, arguments, etc., these are MY opinions. So, for all intents and purposes, please bookmark this thread and revisit it in about 2-3 years and let me know how my crystal ball worked out"...

WOW! Rough ride ahead! All "Terms of Use" are modified

Much appreciate the clarification and discovery of those terms....like I said, not a lawyer, but things are for sure going to change, and it's not going to be as it has been in the past. Having had extremely difficult past experiences to resolve multiple issues, I can say it was an uphill...

WOW! Rough ride ahead! All "Terms of Use" are modified

Without getting into a tizzy of a disagreement, I'll just say the intent is to make those aware who own their product may not have the level of support and longevity by the company, because their days may be numbered, and/or things may get more difficult to resolve. Again, my opinion.

WOW! Rough ride ahead! All "Terms of Use" are modified

Diminished support, potential end of the company if legal issues, budgets, etc., take their toll. The entire bike industry is in a doldrum, so they are making sure they can survive if the tables turn. Again, my opinion, much like BYD influencing the EV industry, auto manufacturers are headed...

WOW! Rough ride ahead! All "Terms of Use" are modified

I am not a lawer, but if you were to compare word for word from past to present, things have changed. More specifically: "These Terms contain a mandatory individual arbitration provision and class action waiver. This requires you to use arbitration on an individual basis to resolve disputes...

WOW! Rough ride ahead! All "Terms of Use" are modified

Ha, Ha, Ha! Look, I'm happy, zero issues, it took a while but they ultimately got it "right" for me anyway. Just like ANY other product, there are problems, issues, recalls, bankruptcies, etc., and me, me thinks that the ground work is being set for potential changes coming down the road and...

    2020 Vado 4.0, (2019-03-15 Vado/Como Production Date)-Question (ANT+/Bluetooth)

Most likely Stefan knows....I've got the 2022 Vado 5.0 which I use my Wahoo Bolt V2 on in NJ as well as the Wahoo Kickr in the basement, both use ANT+ w/the phone. Does the 2020 Vado (the Florida bike) I have use ANT+ so I can use the Bolt V2 or do I need to obtain something to put on the wheel...
