Maybe applies to bicycle tire changes, on motorcycle tire changes, the rim has a channel in the middle that is smaller in diameter than the outer rim portion. The tire beads have to be in this channel to get the tire bead over the rim on the install and removal. So the portion that is 180...

Riding Shoes; In Search of Something Better *Update!

Think I have a couple of those crankbrothers out there. What I found, is when the o.d. of the spindle the pedal rotates on is larger than the rest of the platform, the foot has a tendency to go to sleep, from that axle forward. Don't think I have any spiked pedals in use anymore, just went...

I just bought and am using a pair of Jim Green African Barefoot Trooper boots to ride in. Really comfy and breath well. https://jimgreenfootwear.com/store/african-ranger-barefoot-boot-fudge/

Looked back at the point I changed the chain out on the como and started using gear oil for the chain lube for a reference, as I was curious how this would pan out. 980 miles when i changed it out, right now 2700 miles of around town riding, hauling groceries lot of the time. I'm easy on...

That's how I have my Vado and Como set up. Don't do the races though. Bike calculator sure has changed, haven't been to the website for a while. I'd suggest using gear oil for the chain. I have been doing that for a while and show no wear on the chain or gears. When it gets dirty I just...

I put a 36t chainring on my Como 5 and Vado 5. ;) And left the chain guard off.

There's my grocery getter. The front pizza rack had it's ears trimmed, and the basket was from wally world, holds gloves, coozy, pant ties, misc. stuff. The satchel around the steering neck holds the cable and padlock, they are heavy and don't ride the pizza rack because of. And then to the...

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

I found seat height recommendations a little conservative on the Spec site, but generally good. Prior the seats were higher.

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

I pedal my Como quite a bit without assist. Find no problems, it is a heavy bike with fat heavy tires, so take that into consideration. Definitely takes more than a lighter bike with narrow tires. 25% assist I found useful to emulate normal bike action. I found the front rack on the Como...

New Gen 4 Levo is a comin'...

Where's the standard to rate these motors? Spec can come up with however they want to rate it, at the axle, chainring, pedals?

For the guys test riding, Spec on their website has an input to find seat post length, usually associated with individual bikes and I find the output to be the same no matter the bike. My 33" inseam says from the center of the bottom bracket to the top of the seat should be in the 31" range, I...

I think I'm tired of the fat tires. I ride my old style steel framed 10 spd with the skinny tires and it is so much easier to pedal. The SL tires need to be converted to the Como and Vado platform. And the Haul ST looks to be on sale.
