Wired Cruiser - monster truck of ebikes.

Well thanks for that read. My balancer looks like the one in Ravi's first post that he is looking at. I am charging right now, it doesn't mix the charge. One battery just went 100% and the other is still at 95%. That last 5% takes forever, then the amp draw drops to 4 or 5 which is...

Wonder how the balancer works for charging or is it just for depletion of the batteries. The front battery is 20 Ah the rear is 15 Ah, both chargers are 3.5. Are the batteries separate on the charging circuit so they don't see each other or does the balancer come into play.

WTF! Why do people cheat on fitness apps?

Why do people leave their dog s*it in a bag next to the sidewalk?

Did a scale of the Warrior. Total weight was 142#, 51.4 front and 90.6 rear. With myself on the bike, total weight was 322#, 107 front and 215 rear, me weighing 180#. So the tires rated at 198# max, the rear is overloaded.

    Shipping forward on my saddle

I set mine level using a steel rule and digital level, from front to back, maybe tilted a little either way. One degree makes a difference. I use Obenaufs leather conditioner on my saddles. Be careful not to use too much, the leather will keep stretching. I've made a few stretch's with the...

    Balancing - Time-Consuming?

Thanks for all the input! I do have a watt meter for the plug in, I'll have to check it out. My batteries are supposed to use Samsung 21700 cells and the chargers look top notch chinese stuff, the bike came with two chargers since there are two batteries.

    Balancing - Time-Consuming?

Don't think there is any way to check current flow on my setup. How long should a guy leave them charging after the green light goes on using a 3.5a charger on a 20a and 15a 72v battery pack? For the most part I leave them at less than 80%, but occasionally do a full charge, intentionally or...

    Balancing - Time-Consuming?

I charged a couple 72v batteries for the first time, it took longer during the last few percentages and assuming it was balancing, the time was maybe doubled but only by half hour or so.

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

Regarding hands off riding and the front wheel wobble, I measured both my motorcycles at approx 30 degrees caster using the head tube, the bikes were approx 20 degrees. Ten degrees is a big difference.

Ciphering more on the throttle settings, I had the throttle delay set to slowest, there are 0-3 settings, the book says start strength and I was trying to soften the departure kickoff, it is actually throttle delay. Set it to 0, no delay, and it is normal throttle operation. There is a...

Interesting, thanks for the info. Hadn't thought to google it. Just finished putting it all back together, the more times I do this the better I am at getting the wiring routed better and in the right places. I did use the copper paste, don't know if it is going to make a whole lot of...

The aluminum and copper antiseize comes in a paste, it would fill any voids between the two surfaces. The heatsink paste in comparison would act as an isolator. The only reason they use the heatsink paste is it doesn't conduct electricity, on the bike where the controller mounts, the screws...

Ah. That is what it was then. Thanks for the info! I wasn't aware there was such a thing. Looking at the thermal conductivity of that stuff is like .671-4.8 w/m-k. Copper is 385-397 w/m-k and aluminum is 205!

I took a look at the inside of the crank box where the controller sits and pulled it out. There was a white pasty substance that looked like permatex teflon paste used to seal water pipe threads between the controller and mount. I didn't understand what it was and figured it was something to...

On the delay thing I can hear the motor turn, then the delay until the ratchet or whatever catches and it accelerates, then the gear whine comes on. The gears have a definite whine, different from the motor. Getting better with this throttle thing. Chazmo, is the bafang geared?

When I signed on for this gig, I couldn't find a handle. In this group of ladies I meet with one was named Marcela, close enough for me, so I took it. Funny how all you buggers project onto people what they should be like. I've been riding dirt bikes for 50 yrs, karts, pissed a lot of money...

Agree on the throttle deal. I like to be able to modulate from the standing start and know when it is going to accelerate. Your tip on throttle position helped, I was full throttling when I wanted it to pick up at close to max spd and it took forever to power up. I guess full throttle will...
