I'm sure that's true. One has to pick a bike that works where they live. I got lucky I guess and my choice works well for where I live. If it didn't I guess I can easily do upgrades to the motor etc. Also I guess the newer version of the Rover has a more powerful motor although I've not...

All I can add is that I've been riding a Rad Rover for a few years now and have not run across a hill that I could not easily pedal up in 3rd gear. I weigh about 200lbs. The bike is stock regarding motor and controller.

Not that I've noticed. Admittedly most of my on line shopping has been through Amazon and it's obvious at a glance whether what you want is in stock or not often along with how many they have in stock at the moment.

All I can tell you is that I have two Rad bikes: A Rover ST but not the newer version and a Mini ST. I like both bikes and have not had any real problems with either one.

You can get a set with a short right grip but maybe not on Amazon.

Replace the grips with ones that have horns.

Won't be watching the videos. Reason? The cover of the top one shows a child shooting a target which is a human form. The cover of the second one shows a child on an motorbike and he can't keep his feet or his body on the bike.

According to Rads manuals: 1. plug the charger into the battery's charging port. 2. plug the charger into the outlet. 3. After charging unplug the charger from the outlet and then from the charging port.

For the record, I have no trouble releasing the QR lever. Once released it is still not very easy to remove the wheel. I have to unscrew the lever, remove the axel, and then pound on the wheel a bit with the palm of my hand to get it to drop out. Not a big deal but I can't imagine the wheel...

From my limited experience, they look a lot different for starters. I almost chose a bike with direct drive (the Rad City) but changed my mind when I realized it didn't have the torque of a geared motor so wouldn't be as good on hills. I bought the Rad Rover instead.

So which Rad battery are we talking about? The older external mount ones or the newer ones mounted in the frame?

The Rad Runner and Lectric Xpedition are two good possibilities.
