Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

Bummer. Looking at the picture I see that the seat-tube is very short on the Vado! On my medium Creo, I can use as short as a 280mm Redshift post, so I hadn’t considered that problem…..but my legs aren’t long either. It is timely that this subject has come up again. I had a Redshift post on my...

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

Redshift offers the 30.9 diameter in a 350mm length also, and they offer a 90-day satisfaction policy. Unless you have a desire otherwise for shorter cranks, you could reorder in the shorter length.

    $10,000.00?

Bike riding is great exercise, but it doesn’t build much muscle. About 18 months ago, a doctor recommended resistance training (weight lifting) to alleviate arthritis pain (mostly in the knees), so I started working out with a trainer 4x per week, with one day focusing solely on legs, and a bit...

    $10,000.00?

I paid five figures for my Creo. It was worth it to me for a bike that weighs ~28 lbs., has a wireless derailleur that shifts perfectly every time, and has a great adjustable shock-absorbing system. BTW, ghost-pedaling doesn’t happen on the Creo. Maybe later in life (or sooner, if the...

    Buying a House Advice Thread

I wouldn’t allow such a delay, but I don’t know how your sales contract is written. Typically, there are specific deadlines written into the agreement, sometimes with penalties for non-performance, and always giving both the seller and buyer the option of pulling out of the deal under certain...

    Fulfilling a dream

According to an article I found, Mr. Miller made a claim of Sovereign Citizenship in court. That was a mistake, as U.S. courts don’t recognize such claims. I’d say it’s likely that he’ll lose the lawsuit against him, and will never legally sell raw milk again. With any luck, the criminal...

Sweden's Hovding air bag headgear company folds

Bad idea anyway. I’m designing a full-body airbag system. It’ll be out as soon as I figure out how to stop it from launching the wearer into the air.😉

    Pressure cooking

We have a small pressure cooker with no gauge. My mother taught us as young kids that f the “rocker” stops rocking or rocks too fast, take it off the heat. And, as @JedidiahStolzfus said, never leave it unattended.

    Anyone get glasses at Costco?

When I ran labs, our average processing time was 2-2.5 days for finished eyewear, and <1 day for uncuts (lenses that the retailer would cut to the frame specs), but those were averages and didn’t include delivery time or our wait-time for the frame if it was coming from the customer. There were...

    Anyone get glasses at Costco?

If you’re ordering progressive lenses online, it’s a real crapshoot. You need the assistance of a professional to be properly fitted, as even a slight error in placement of the progressive zone in relation to your pupils, either vertically or horizontally, will cause them to be less helpful than...

    Anyone get glasses at Costco?

Independent eyecare professionals all the way! They use non-affiliated laboratories, so they will reject your eyewear if it’s not up to standards. If you’re using a big-box store, a one-hour location, or an online supplier, they are production and final inspection all rolled into one. I’m not...

    E-Bikes On Legal, Paved Trails

I greatly prefer multi-use paths over roadways. There are too many drivers who are careless, or simply evil. This happened today, about two miles from my home; https://www.fox13seattle.com/news/pierce-county-detectives-believe-vehicle-may-have-intentionally-struck-cyclist-in-deadly-hit-and-run

Rant, Complain, Just Let It Out In Here. Others May Sympathize

You mention the gym. Have you been lifting, or cardio only? I ask because I started lifting again, with a trainer, about 6 months ago after a many-year break, and I’ve found it to be tremendously helpful in preventing (well, minimizing anyway) joint pain. It was bad enough that I thought I had...

Show us pictures of where you ride your ebikes!

I’ve ridden the Cedar River trail. A portion of it runs next to a highway, so it’s rather noisy. But, the river section made it worth it for at least one ride. That section is gravel, but was in pretty good shape when I was there. The Cedar River Trail connects with the Burt Gilman trail, and...

I’m really excited about this. The Foothills Trail extension to Enumclaw, with a new bridge over the White River, is actually happening. They started earlier this year, and expect to complete it in early 2024. When completed, it will run from Puyallup to Enumclaw, for a round trip distance of 44...

[FIXED] Wahoo ELEMNT GPS Bike Computers Have Gone Mad Post The Latest Firmware Update, E-Bike Connection

I’ve been frustrated because I haven’t ridden my Creo in several weeks, due to going on a cruise ship and coming home with Covid (It was a mild case, but I have a lingering cough and am still somewhat fatigued). This thread makes me feel a little less frustrated. 😂 That bug would drive me nuts!

    dog carriers, maybe trailers

I’ve never seen those. They’d obviously not tip over. They wouldn’t work well for us though, as we often ride where the width would be of concern.
