Bike RADAR - for other bikes

That is what I told my daughter when she was concerned about someone traveling to close behind her car.

Bike RADAR - for other bikes

You are probably correct on this one. Wasn’t thinking totally through this.

Bike RADAR - for other bikes

Yes it should, as long as it has the Ant+ function. You can order the Garmin Varia RTL515 from Amazon and return for refund if it does not work.

Bike RADAR - for other bikes

False alerts, I have not experienced false alerts with my Garmin. Every one have been legitimate so far. If it picks something up behind such as a bike is because it legitimately detected an object going faster than me. That is how radar’s work. They do not know what it is only that an object is...

Bike RADAR - for other bikes

I am using a Garmin Varia RTL515 and a Garmin 1050 together. They work great! They detect cars or bikes etc going slightly faster than you. If one slows to your speed it will disappear though. Doesn’t happen often. It was just pulled into the garage and parked when my wife walked in behind it...

    750 watts or 500?

Yeah, Peak anything audio wattage, motor wattage is meaningless. It is more of an instantaneous thing. As far as wattage it is up to the purpose and bike size and weight. Some feel 500 watts is good enough. For me that would be for a smaller E-Bike. Mine weighs 84lbs and has 26” 4” wide fat...

My dream bike got stolen. Lessons, next?

My choice would be the Stellar Falcon Step Thru. 750hp more power for hills. Rear seat post suspension for softer ride on bumpy terrain (a must for my back). Step thru would have been better for my short 29” inseam on legs. It has torque and cadence sensors like my E-Bike. Mine has rear shock so...

Do you have a photo of the bike to see how he stabilized the frame after cutting the top portion to make it a step through?

New to E-Bike and this forum

I really love my new E-Bike. My only issue is that even though I am 5’8” tall my legs are short with a 29” inseam while most my height have a 32” inseam which makes it a little difficult to get over the upper support but learned to manage it. I had to move the seat back on it’s rails and raise...

    Electric Bike vs. Regular Bike

Because of hip issues and back fusions at 73 years of age pedaling up hill had gotten to be a deal breaker. Since I got my E-Bike I love riding and ride longer and farther. I use lower PAS levels until I start to tire then raise it as needed.

My dream bike got stolen. Lessons, next?

Sorry your bike was stolen. I just got an E-bike on October 2, 2025. The other day I ran across a bike insurance website called Project 529. You can pay monthly or yearly. Mine is $130 a year. I do not know a lot about it yet. And hope it is decent.

New to the Group - Looking for Gravel Friends in the Bay Area

I will have to get a “Gopro” style camera to do that and find a place on my already crowded handlebars to put it. I know you can get a secondary bar. When I ever get a camera I will purchase the extra bar.
