    Damn Shame About Faraday

Faraday was selling its bikes at 40% off, without warning potential customers that they were going out of business. Today, I looked at their web site and they had *decreased* the discount to 25%! Still no indication of the status of their business. Very weird.

    Rabbit hole...

Hi zebrajellyfish: Since you posted in the Rad area then you can expect to get a lot of positive reviews for the Rad bikes. So I begin with this. I own a radcity step-thru and am very happy with the bike. The Aveny looks like a similar bike in many respects. The biggest difference in riding...

    Damn Shame About Faraday

You won't get any indication of their closure if you go to their web site. I think it is unconscionable not to warn customers that they are buying a bike from a company that is basically out of the business.

BAM bikes identical to Rad Power bikes?

I follow your point that there is a lot of commonality among bikes because so much is coming out of the same geographical area. But the bike company specifies the construction of certain components (like the frame) which may differentiate it practically from a look-alike. That difference may...

BAM bikes identical to Rad Power bikes?

I tried to post a link to the BAM bike but EBR kept eating the link. Tim is correct. You can see differences. But what was amazing to me was how much effort was expended in creating a look-a-like. And the fake one is more expensive (S1499 + $100 shipping) than the Rad step thru ($1499 + $0...

BAM bikes identical to Rad Power bikes?

http://www.ebikedirect.com/ewheels-bam-electric-bike-step-thru-electric-beach-bicycle-crusier/ It is pretty amazing how close a copy of the Rad City step-thru is sold by this group.

    RadCity delivery

That is what my box looked like when I received it in NC. I was pretty nervous but it was unscathed. Go ahead and invest in a spoke wrench. It will get a lot of use early on. You want the blue handle wrench...

    RadCity Owners Manual

So what does this mean for people who charged their battery according to the old (4.001) 2019 instructions?

Domino's and Rad Power Bikes Launch Ebike Delivery Nationwide

Given how the stock market is doing then I may need to consider this job in the future.

Why I won't buy another Rad Power bike (aka support your local bike shop)

Hey MarkF: Thanks for the reminder about Bolton. I ran across the name earlier when I was first looking at RPB bikes. Ken

Why I won't buy another Rad Power bike (aka support your local bike shop)

This has been my experience with buying an RPB e-bike. I would have considered buying from a local shop but the local shops didn't carry them at that time and the closest shop mechanic slammed ebikes as being unreliable, not real bikes, and there would be no service for them in the area. It...

    Suggested improvements to Radpowerbike models

The Step-thru comes with a 340mm seat post while the wagon comes with a 390 mm seat post. I wish that they would switch to a 390 mm seat post for the Step-thru. I had to buy a longer seat post and I am not that tall of a person.

    Long term reliability?

Hi kloxxe: I am a new owner in an area without other Rad bikes. Rad support has been strong and I have gotten a reply within 24 hours for my questions. Ken

How does your Rad City Step-thru fit you?

RangerDave reports that the brakes were very tight. That was my experience also. I was nervous initially about adjusting disc brakes because I had never dealt with them before but they are pretty simple beasts. It seems to me that Rad is shipping bikes now with the brake adjusted almost...

    Panniers for the radrover 2019

I just checked the diameter of the top bar on my rear rack on my step-thru with a Mitutoyo digital caliper at 3 different locations: 16.4x mm. Assuming that they use the same tubing on your rack then it should be about 16 mm.

How does your Rad City Step-thru fit you?

Hi AugustMainer: Like you, I live in a Rad Bike desert and had to buy without getting a chance to try one. My size is close to yours: 31.5" inseam, 5' 8", and 23" reach. I am still fine-tuning my fit because the bike is new. Presently, I have the seat post extended to the minimum insertion...

Ortlieb Back-Roller fit on Rad City

I was looking at the Ortlieb Back-Roller rear panniers and wondered if people had experience with their fit on a Rad City. Or are there other panniers that work well with this bike?

Washer arrangement on Tektro Aries brakes

I got further information from Rad. The concave washers nestle as JRA says. The washers are thick and thin. Thick washers go on the outside and thin washers are on the inside of where the bolt attaches to the brake (adapter).

Washer arrangement on Tektro Aries brakes

I had to remove the rear brake to adjust the pads. The wheel was basically frozen into place. There are a heck of a lot of little asymmetrical washers. Does anyone have a link or picture of the arrangement of the washers because I want to make sure the arrangement is OK as I reassemble the brake.

    Newbie - Battery Question

The advice of mrgold35 and Mike gave me a plan. I would start at the display and work backwards through the connections. The first connection from the display on the 2019 Step-thru has a big shiny knurled ring on the connector. It looked like a solid connection but I decided to separate and...
