    Stromer ST1 codes

1011 - recoup/regen strength I believe stock is 05. Higher the number the harder the braking/regen.

Is it better for battery life to charge at a lower amperage?

Great info, as I have a 4A charger with my ST1. I aim to charge to 80% by guesstimating time on the charger vs % battery level shown on my LCD (roughly 1hr charging is 25% +/- for my pack size). Since my battery capacity far exceeds my commute, I can easily extend the battery life with this...

Trying to decide between DIY and Juiced CrossCurrent S

The CCS was high on my contender list, but without being able to test ride one first, I felt safer buying the ST1 at a great deal vs standard price (plus CA sales tax) on the CCS. Throttle backup was also a priority for me, and I was okay with the 'boost' button/mode that the ST1 has. It works...

    80% commuter, 20% trails

REI is also likely going to charge sales tax, right? For me, locally, that kills all but 2.25% of that 10% rebate. Also, you can get an ST1 Platinum from https://www.amegoev.com/buy-electric-bikes/stromer-electric-bicyles.html for ~$2350, if you call and ask them to honor the 10% bike show...

Trying to decide between DIY and Juiced CrossCurrent S

https://www.amegoev.com/buy-electric-bikes/stromer-electric-bicyles.html Those are CAD prices, and a couple of weeks ago they also offered an additional 10% off, so you could get a Stromer ST1 Platinum for $2350. I bought mine from Crazy Lenny's, though, for $1875 (oh, and it had the longer...

    RadCity vs Haibike Urban Plus?

Bike arrived yesterday and I had time to put it together today. Since it wasn't a direct to consumer bike company, it wasn't really meant to be put together by the end user, I believe (didn't include all the needed tools, etc). Crazy Lenny's did a great job packing it up and luckily I had the...

Ah, then I agree, $2500 is the going price and hard to beat deal

    RadCity vs Haibike Urban Plus?

Okay, time for a buying update... I saw a Crazy price on a Haibike Hardnine ($999), and reasoned that I should buy one because: it will be worth at least that much to sell it used within a year or so, and I could use that bike to help guide my final decision through actual ebike ownership with...

How to buy a used bike

    I just shopped (via phone) Stromer at the crazy e bike shop. 2015 v1 elite $1400, 2016 st1 Platinum $1750 $1875 w/ city kit or https://www.bikesourceonline.com/product/raleigh-electric-misceo-sport-ie-255681-1.htm...

How to buy a used bike

Buy new at used price ;) Seriously. Look at the clearance prices of 2016 & 2017 bikes right now and you can do this easily. After a year of use, your bike would have a higher resale and make up for any initial price difference.

    Completely new and seeking input/direction

Crazy Lenny's has Haibike Hardnine on closeout for $999. Only 55cm, which is frame size XL left, which would fit you. (I think that includes shipping, but not sure) Top speed is only 20mph if that matters. Or a Stromer V1 Elite is only $1400 right now. 20" frame might be a little small on you...

    RadCity vs Haibike Urban Plus?

Further complicating things are ST1 S and T available for $2350... (Link Removed - No Longer Exists) after 10% discount and factoring exchange rate. Plus if you call that shop, you can get $300 in accessories (or a 'free' battery upgrade) during this sale. The Stromer has the ability for a...

Cross current vs Stromer ST1 elite

any updates on this? I'm also cross shopping, and the CCS is a top contender. Are those $1800 ST1 Platinums still around? I haven't found that price. Maybe ~$2500, I saw...

    Please Help with my Haibike!!!!!

and it also wouldn't be a "bike" anymore ;) You want a speed-pedelec. They top out at 28 mph, some have throttle also, which tops out at 20 mph w/o pedaling. Anything over 28 is a DIY project and not street legal, I believe (various by states and cities).

    RadCity vs Haibike Urban Plus?

Another set of test rides yesterday at a different shop (I wanted to ride my mtb there, but somehow the rear tire has gone completely flat and won't hold air - WTH) Still trying to find a "cheap" hub motor setup to simulate riding a RadCity. The shop didn't carry the $1550 bike they showed...

    RadCity vs Haibike Urban Plus?

Yes, without COBI hooked up the Urban Plus rode just fine. You would arrow up/down for the PAS settings and there was a tone indicating that it changed settings. Once you went all the way up or down, the tone would not sound, indicating either 0 or the fastest setting. On paper, I do believe...

    RadCity vs Haibike Urban Plus?

Gary, my dealer said that the 2018s are a carry-over model. No changes at all, not even color options. He seemed to think that they may keep the lower price? Also mentioned that Haibike has many of the 2017s in stock still, while they are getting lower stock on the other discounted under $1700...
