Wow, it sounds like Lenny's is still the best bet for price + service then! I have had them follow-up and offer help, beyond what Stromer has offered, so Lenny's is coming through - happy to report.

But if you can't fix it over the phone and you're not in driving distance, Lenny's will say "contact Stromer" and that's that. Not much "service" or "warranty" offered, in my experience.

If it fell off, I imagine that the semi-hidden bolt had to be missing. The bolt goes up from the bottom, through the battery door hinge. 5mm (IIRC) hex, probably ~4" long. It will be partially hidden by cables.

I've been working with Mike on diagnosing my ST1, and he mentioned that they're a bit understaffed or something, so expect delays. He did ship out parts quickly (unfortunately they didn't fix the issue), at least. Their voicemail also pretty much says don't expect a response in a timely manner...

Do you disable your airbags and never wear your seatbelt too? How do you feel about vaccines? The FDA? Drinking water standards? Sometimes the government's role is to save people from themselves. *shrug*

Great to hear about the Crazy Lenny support! I have 450 miles on my ST1, bought from them, and just got a "no_com" error. Tried replacing the display battery, unplugging/replugging wires, etc - no luck. Local shop prefers not to work on bikes not bought through them, but I think I gotta ask...

From what my local dealer says, there is no difference for 2018. Its simply a carry-over. Low sales at the original MSRP and oversupply lead to the 50% price drop. They need to clear them out. I got the B&M kit. Only had one evening ride and it was fine. I sure wouldn't pay retail for the kit though.

Urban Plus should be a top contender for sure. Mid drive at rear hub price. I don't see a need for more than 10 gears unless your battery is dead!

Stromer ST1 or Haibike Urban Plus can be had for the same price as a CCS, but would require a battery recharge at work (packs won't be as large as the CCS).
