Anyone prefer a fixed single-speed ebike?

I took the bike out today and tried to simulate a fixed gear ride, I tried 5th gear and rode a 7 mile loop with several small hills. In torque sensor it was a joke and not very enjoyable, halfway through I switched to Cadence sensor and it was a bit better but still a very bad idea and not much...

Anyone prefer a fixed single-speed ebike?

That's why I need a test ride to see how this bike handles them. The way I handle them on my current bikes is when approaching a hill, I usually drop a gear or two, engage the hill, and then roll on the throttle if the hill is too much. I feel using the throttle on steep climbs aids my knee's in...

Anyone prefer a fixed single-speed ebike?

I have an interest in a Euphree Solar Sparrow as my next ride, it's a simple but elegant and thoughtfully put together ebike. Single speed, Gates belt drive, 500 watt hub drive, class 3, 26" Kenda tires that are 2.5" wide. I have several ebikes now, all 750 watt, and all 8 speeds, with 20" and...

Which Pace have cadence sensors or dual sensors?

The pedal assist and the throttle don't play nice together, if you try and use them together it cuts the power down. The good part about the throttle alone is it can be adjusted to power the bike to 28 mph where most bikes stop at 20 mph. It's not really a negative, it just operates differently...

    Finding ebikes a home.

$400 on the Rad sounds very interesting, and I'd be all over it if I lived close to you. But that's my luck, it sucks.

Which Pace have cadence sensors or dual sensors?

I wrote to Velotric about the throttle issue, and explained it cannot be rolled on to assist the PAS system, but instead cuts all power off. They are aware of the issue and explained that their throttle and PAS system are designed to operate as separate of one another, and not together. I asked...

Which Pace have cadence sensors or dual sensors?

I have both the Pace 4, and the Breeze 1, and both have been excellent bikes. The Breeze is about 8 pounds lighter but both bikes have very similar riding capabilities. Both have sensor swap, both are available in 2 sizes, but the Breeze has a 750 watt 48 volt system, compared to the Pace at 500...

How many miles a year do you ride?

I try to shoot for 2k miles but in all reality it's more like 1.5k miles as my area can have severe weather swings that last for days.

Fat STREET Tires are WAY BETTER for Riding on Pavement than KNOBBY Off-Road Tires

It's been super cold here in PA with lots of wind with some shitty weather and snow, I haven't been riding in 5 weeks. But I find just getting out on the bike for maybe 15 minutes once a week, helps me stay emotionally happy and healthy. Short little rides here and there is what I am starting to...

How much is nearby dealer worth?

If the choice was mine I would go Vorsa, it's not hard to put together at all, but having someone to help with knowledge would be a big plus. Also another solid choice would be Euphree, they make the Stellar Falcon which is equal to the Vorsa in quality and features. Choices, choices, so many...

Urtopia Carbon 1 Step Thru (OFFICIAL REVIEW)

I never cared for that style of bike until one day I rode one out of curiosity, now I won't ride anything else. Upright and comfortable beats every other style out there.

Velotric Discover 1 Plus Step-Through Carry up two sets of stairs?

I'm sure that if you need to get it up there after a few times of trial and error, you can work out a system and get comfortable with it. Don't let it deter you from doing something, try different methods of holding and gripping the bike as you go up, you'll figure out what works best.

Velotric Discover 1 Plus Step-Through Carry up two sets of stairs?

If you were to take the battery out of the bike, I'm guessing it's about 55 lbs, then that would make another trip for the battery though. It all depends how fit you are, I'm sure it would be awkward carrying it up 2 flights of steps, but doable. I own it's little brother the breeze 1 which is...

Can't Get My New Urtopia Bike to Work

I bought a Urtopia carbon joy about 2 months ago for my wife and it has been a great bike, no issues at all. My LBS picked up the Urtopia line and carries them in stock, he's had good success with them and selling them fairly well and being problem free. The one we have has 20" wheels and is...

    The Universal Ebike!

My first ebike was a 20" fat tire bike, loved that thing. Everyone I spoke to said the bigger wheel bikes like the 27'5 and up are more efficient and smarter to be riding around on. So I took everyone's advice an bought one and rode it for several months and it is more efficient and faster, but...

Where do you keep your bike?

Mine stay inside my attached garage, I don't store my bikes outside at all. In the garage I have 3 ebikes and 2 analog bikes, and I can still get my small car inside there also, need be.

What have you learned from your e-bike experiences?

I can only imagine with 8 broken spokes that rear wheel must have been wobbling bad, luckily no one got hurt. Velotric really needs to get this corrected, refusing to fix warranty claims is a recipe for disaster with future return business. I own 2 Velotric bikes and they have been awesome, no...
