stompandgo, Thank you! Interestingly, the sprockets are less than a foot apart for both the pedal chains and the motor chains so I suspect the amount of sag will probably want to be a bit less than 1/4" (maybe 1/8" to 3/16"?) Your suggestion of finger tightening and tapping for the tensioner...

PCeBiker, Thank you for another possibility for fixing this design flaw! I did a preliminary internet search; it seems "interesting" to try to find a KT model number that will work specifically with the Lectric 750 trike2. Perhaps I'll be able to find a source for that if I keep looking... Tom

Faulty design is certainly something they can control. Other bikes/trikes do not exhibit this dangerous behavior.
