    Sorry. We've all had the eye-rolls from kids and wives, too. Didn't realize you were looking for more. Once the eye-rolling started with my kids — and not just over dad jokes — embarrassing them as much as possible was added to my parental mission statement. Dad jokes are an important tool but...

    Sounds like pro cycling needs to catch up with strip club technology. I hear they have tear-away panties. Go Jonas!! Good to see him back. Tragic. McNulty, too.

    Hmmm, first I've seen that proposal. Way beyond every other CA regulation effort I've seen. Definitely an overreaction. Betting it won't pass. But I'll give you that Bauer-Kahan's waging a war on ebikes. Just not prepared put that on the whole state.

    Here's another good highlight reel: I'm sure the media moguls are running the numbers right now to see if there's an audience for strip cycling. ;^}

    Oh, I'd definitely mind. I respect utility riders, including commuters. My fitness/recreation ebike's a Class 3, but I could easily set it up for other duties. Also have a Class 3 commuter for utility and beach rides. Have been following CA laws regarding ebikes for the last 4 years. Remind me...

    What war on ebikes? Sure, an overdue war on (1) fake ebikes like Surrons operated illegally on public infrastructure, and (2) reckless and underage, undertrained riders. But that has to be done to preserve future legal ebike access to our wealth of bikeways and trails. And as a California...

    Jonas!!! Early in the highlights below, the announcer makes passing reference to Vingegaard's "makeshift" bib. What, Visma can't afford shorts that last a whole race? ;^}

    Are you sure that's Oscar? His name tag says henry. ;^}

    Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

    Ooh, ooh, let me guess — for @Stefan Mikes , a Specialized Vado SL 2! Nearly ran off with the last one he tested. ;^}

    Absolutely, positively the right answer. We frankly don't know enough about the OP to recommend or endorse a bike, but we DO know enough to say the following: o If you're new to ebikes, you have no idea what you really want and don't want in an ebike. And the only way to find out is by testing...

    Or Velotric. Very impressed wtth my wife's Breeze 1 cruiser. The dual-sensor assist is brilliant!

    Thanks, have some small velcro straps that might be perfect for that. Another variation: Stick the appropriate hex key in one of the chainring bolt heads and push it around with the crank on that side. Works well enough and couldn't be easier, but I worry about long-term bolt head damage...

    Thanks, very helpful! I think this eTen "work flow" has at least a chance of working for my purposes, but only field testing will tell. I often go one-handed for hand signals and other purposes, and I often stand on the pedals for bumps and rough surfaces. If I can manage reaching under the...

    Understood. My main goal is to lower my seat to improve footing around stops. Not just when stopped, but also for maneuvers on uneven ground — like getting to crosswalk buttons without getting off the bike. These situations and others come up a lot in my largely suburban environment. @Rás Cnoic...

    An argument for droppers with handlebar remotes for all bikes. Lever-actuated droppers aren't mentioned.

    All caught up now on Paris Nice. Interesting interview with Ayuso after the latest stage (TT, Stage 3) — articulate, likeable, grateful to team and staff, quite mature. Made me wonder if his transfer out of UAE put him into a calmer state of mind. Who really knows what he went through at UAE?
