Show us pictures of where you ride your ebikes!

It's an 11 hr. drive from here to Louisville. I get down that way to ride trails occasionally. Unfortunately, I can't view your link without being a member.

Anyone prefer a fixed single-speed ebike?

The class 3 bike the OP is looking at does not appear to have a throttle. I don't think I've ever ridden a bike where I didn't have to vary the speed at some point. surface & weather conditions, pedestrians, vehicle traffic, as well as fixed obstacles often require changes in speed. Of course...

    On/Off Switch

Yeah, the XT60's are a bear to solder effectively without melting or getting a cold solder joint. I use the pigtail version and use solder & heat shrink to wire them up...

This one might work. It even has a reading lamp for when you get bored from not pedaling. 😁

Anyone prefer a fixed single-speed ebike?

Not for me. If you ride at a constant speed on relatively level ground, it could work. Tough to vary the speed much without getting into an uncomfortable cadence though. A throttle might help, but if it's a true class 3, it likely doesn't have one. I had a fixie as a kid and remember the joy I...

Show us pictures of where you ride your ebikes!

I'm looking at these bikes as well, but there are none in the area to test ride. I can't figure out how you would get started without falling over. I suppose you could keep one foot on the ground and use the throttle to get going if the bike has one. Carrying a lot of gear could also create a...

    Just for fun...

A mother put her daughter to bed and encouraged her to say her prayers. The little girl replied: "God bless Mommy. God bless Daddy and please lord, send clothes for all those girls on daddy's computer."

    Sound in the Ears

My doctor told me there is no single cure for tinnitus, and it affects individuals in a variety of ways. Different remedies work for some but not all. This thread tends to support that statement. In my case, any sustained noise above a certain level brings on tinnitus for a period of time. It...

    Sound in the Ears

Earplugs create a safety issue for me. They keep me from hearing traffic and signals from other bikers. I wear a helmet, so Cat-Ears have been a savior for me anyway...

    Winter Riding Gloves

The biggest problem I have with winter riding gloves is using touch screens and small buttons. Yes, there are gloves designed for this, but the ones I've seen are too thin and not warm enough. They are still too bulky to do fine screen adjustments. Lately, I've been using my hunting gloves that...

    Camera damage in handlebar-mounted phones?

I'm not familiar with all the smartphone cycling apps and I'm probably showing my ignorance here. I've seen and talked to many riders who use bar mounted smartphones. Most have just a map, speed, distance and a compass on the display. A handlebar mounted GPS will display the same data and more...

    Camera damage in handlebar-mounted phones?

That's one of the reasons I carry my phone in my pocket. I also consider it a safety factor in case I'm thrown off the bike and unable to get to it to call for help.

    Camera damage in handlebar-mounted phones?

I regularly use electronic devices on my bars, but not a smartphone. To minimize vibration, I installed a Redshift Shockstop suspension stem: https://redshiftsports.com/products/shockstop-pro-suspension-stem It isn't perfect but when using the lightest elastomers, it noticeably reduces...

If you're using panniers, do what I do and use them to carry the batteries. Keeps the center of gravity low as well.
