    Tire liner shock! Weird!

Could work, but I'd test the spray first to make sure the accelerants don't harm the materials in the tires, tubes and liner.

    Tire liner shock! Weird!

I'm a believer in talc as well. I find it looses it's effectiveness though, after the tire gets wet while riding in the rain or through a stream bed.

    Winter Sucks

Big bust here. 20" were predicted at one point, with blizzard warnings in effect. Less than 3" on the ground now with light wind and it appears to be over. Not out of the woods yet though. Two more clipper storms of 1 - 3" each predicted for later this week. Still a foot on the ground now from...

    A Question for Massachusetts E-Bikers

Welcome to the forum and thanks for your input! FWIW, A few years ago, a park ranger at a trailhead on the Cape Cod Rail Trail told me my class 1 e-bike was not allowed. He asked me to leave and waited until I did so. I talked to a few other riders I met at a local bike shop on the cape, who...

    Winter Sucks

Around here, it's the sea gulls, Herring Gulls actually, that like the French fries. There is a huge flock that frequents the local McDonalds, where people feed them. They just throw one in the air and watch a gull swoop down and catch it before it hits the ground. Some even hand feed them. Once...

    Winter Sucks

I use Choice Privileges points and their free breakfast is barely edible. I usually fix my own in the room before going out to ride. I stay with Choice because their hotels don't restrict bikes or in room charging. Last season, I tried Hampton hotels and their breakfasts were a bit better. Still...

New Jersey Would Be Foolish To Require E-Bike Insurance & Registration

I agree. The problem is, these kids in NJ, and many other places as well, have already been breaking the law by riding these high power bikes. It's compounded by the parents who buy them thinking they ARE bicycles. What makes anyone think these kids won't break the new law as well? Passing...

Sometimes you feel like a mid, sometimes you don't....

Please note, I said "for some". There is always a chance of failure, no matter how small, with any moving part. YMMV.

Sometimes you feel like a mid, sometimes you don't....

I don't want to start a throttle war here, but for some, a hub with throttle offers more breakdown protection. If you break a chain, pedal, crank, BB bearing or derailleur, you're out of luck with a mid. Yes, there are mid drives with a throttle that will help with some of these failures but the...

    Winter Sucks

It's been a month since our last sizeable snowstorm here. It was just over a foot, but it's been so cold that little melted until this week. We're down to around 8" now, which gave me hopes for an early spring ride. That was, until the forecast is now calling for a storm this weekend which...

A definite possibility, but parking will be an issue at many of the trailheads I frequent.

Out of curiosity, do you ride locally or do you transport your bikes? Have you given any thought on how you will transport a trike or quad? I'm also looking at them, but I ride exclusively trails in some remote locations. Transporting would be necessary and I'm not sure how I would do it.

My dream bike got stolen. Lessons, next?

Your bike doesn't have to look that bad to deter theft. Just a little worse than the bike parked next to it.

Does your hyperscrambler2 look like this one? https://juicedbikes.com/products/hyperscrambler-2?srsltid=AfmBOopVjVKeqlSuGEFHcZy3C3YWINpXGiBu5mq3WDzb5c36pJejyLtN If so, cutting out the top tube will weaken the frame and make it dangerous to ride. If you post pictures, we may be able to...

I'm not sure why I didn't see & respond to your post earlier. Sorry to say, at 79, I'm not far behind you with the balance issue. I've also been looking at trikes & quads for some time now. Aside from the $$, my biggest concern is loading & transporting them. I also ride trails that can be...
