SDURO Trekking 6.0- Getting to know it

First couple of rides of spring and everything seems the same as last fall. Checked the battery monthly but not really much change in level. This spring project will be fiddling with fit.

Got my bag back on the rack. On one end the nuts are built into the rack and uses an allen wrench screw. On the other end, for some reason, they went with nuts that are not integral to the rack and thus get lost when they get loose and fall. Replacements were available at Ace but it was a bit of...

SDURO Trekking 6.0- Getting to know it

Well, putting the bike up and getting the skis out. Will try to remember to check the battery once a month and give it a little boost. 500 miles, less than I had hoped but still hoping for Natchez Trace in the spring. We will see what life brings.

Juiced Bikes CrossCurrent S Aftermarket Rack Help

Thanks for the tips, my wife now has Topeak setup with rack and trunk bag. Had to buy extra long mounting brackets for install as the stock ones were too short.

First issue (minor) very slow leak in tube valve, which was hard to diagnose. New tube on rear, trying Sunlite Thorn resistant for a heavier duty tube. We will see. Over 400 miles now but still learning.

Another experiment that has not clicked yet is the Bodyfloat seat post. I weigh more than the maximum but others had said it still worked for them. For me, when I set it to were I do not feel a bounce, then there is very limited space for taking out the bounce and thus little benefit. Going to...

SDURO Trekking 6.0- Getting to know it

I am planning to get a second battery and tour it a bit next spring. Will probably start out with two or three days hopping from B & B to B & B in western Colorado or Utah. I would need to go 50-60 miles a day with some climbing. I had hoping to be able to hill climb enough on this bike without...

SDURO Trekking 6.0- Getting to know it

Another thing that I have come to appreciate is the low cadence start. I stopped on the side of a steep slope recently on a somewhat busy road and appreciated the ability to take off straight uphill.

Received my Vaude bag from Germany and installed it today. Irack is a pretty good system and the bag seems fine. It is not waterproof but there is a rain cover. The mini-panniers on the side don't seem very practical but I will try them eventually. I just want to be able to carry repair kit and...

Boy that Northwind Smartbag looks perfect for me. Wasted 45 ins. trying to find a way to buy one for US. No luck. Doesn't make sense to me.

SDURO Trekking 6.0- Getting to know it

Ran out of battery on a ride for first time. Was 31 miles in and had climb to my house left when I was at 15%. Decided to see what would happen when I ran out so I started the incline. At 10% it started flashing and seemed to cut power. I pedaled for a while and then realized that I would not...

SDURO Trekking 6.0- Getting to know it

Fire and smoke cost me about a month of riding but I have snuck in a few rides including one that was really better suited to my 29er. The Haibike made it but it was a rough ride. Time for the break in adjustment visit to my bike shop. Have decided not to change anything that I have been...

Not sure it makes a difference since you are not pedaling but if you want you can turn it off

How to Best Charge Battery for Longest Life

I drive a Nissan Leaf and when they came out there was a lot of buzz about only charging to 80%. Since my driving pattern did not allow that I ignored it. I am over 54,000 miles and still have 12 bars. In the meantime, heat turned out to be a real problem for the batteries. Not saying that will...
