    The new Stromer ST5

Ki its a bit more complex than rich hipster bike. When your at 28mph inches from cars buzzing along- it's comforting to be on the best. And, buy the best, own the best, and resell the best. I proved tat to myself for about 30 years on all kinds of stuff.

    Hey there from BULLS eBIKES!

My point was missed. All good at the trade show in Europe, but across the pond, there are hundreds of millions potential sales- some reading this thread of dissatisfaction and lack of support. Weird

    The new Stromer ST5

Honestly, because I've convinced myself I don't like them. Starting 3 years ago when I test rode a haibike in Santa Barbara- my favorite pair of pants got torn a bit on front sprocket chain, then had a traffic light turn on me at exact wrong moment, not knowing it would hardly budge in high...

    Hey there from BULLS eBIKES!

Check out their 42 minute 2018 interbike extravaganza! Impressive as hell. Then flip over here and see Galloways pleas for help from factory rep on biggest forum in biggest ebike market go unanswered. Somebody is gonna get yelled at with a German accent pretty soon I suspect. Galloways...

    Hey there from BULLS eBIKES!

Or a billion light years from his original introduction that started this thread! But, like my t.v. Show idea- 120minutes- There is likely another side of this story................. I used to follow Stromer forum pretty close- I did and do dig their bikes and will always root for their...

    The new Stromer ST5

After my midnight ride- one more thing- add enough rear gears or stretch ratio out even more to make lowest gear hide the motor. More super climbing ability maybe even as good as a mid drive- bigger rear brake disc to hide that side of motor thus almost completely eliminating "is that an...

Why no gearbox on ST2s or ST5?

I'll take the challenge. Chains are more friction free requiring less power and the derailur has been around for 50 years- simple and proven. A sealed and lubricated chain would eliminate the cleaning and oiling(I think). The 12 pack of gears stuffed in the bottom bracket would add considerably...

    The new Stromer ST5

Although I am a Stromer fan- most of st5 features are meaniless to me. Plastic or tin hiding the cables just make it harder to change bars, 4 caliper brakes when st2 brakes have awesome stopping power, and the 750 watt motor- again the st2 really shines with all the power avaiable from 500 watt...

Geometry Schmeometry! Only affects standover height?

Idk, my neighbor used to be an avid mountain biker about 5'10" and he says he ALWAYS bought the smallest frame avaiable for stand over lower height and adjusted bar and seat height to fit him. I suppose the 5mm crank arm height could mean something- but at 5mm- not much. A change of shoes...

    The new Stromer ST5

I'm going to seek out a pedago Interceptor. Anything that can smoke a st2- is definitely something to try. I never felt a need for more power with my st2. Of course if the hill gets steep enough- even the most gutless mid drive will walk right up it........ at 2 miles an hour.

    Hey there from BULLS eBIKES!

Uuuuhhhhh, he is prolly on one of those 5 week vacations- like they do in Europe.

Geometry Schmeometry! Only affects standover height?

Thanks. That was fast! My crude measuring and converting ended up at 177mm for my step- thru. One substantially different measurement from my experience Is st1 comfort frames headtube is a lot longer than any other Stromer. I wish there was a Stromer dealer close by, but next week I'll find...

Geometry Schmeometry! Only affects standover height?

Specialized are know for their fitting/ geometry stuff. Out of their 5 steps- The first is physical assessment, then interview, then fitting on cycle............... I think that makes more sense than height of human alone. Even though I know how comfortable I am on 17 comfort frame- I'm...

Geometry Schmeometry! Only affects standover height?

That's interesting....... do you recall where you learned that? I would like to study(a little) more detailed differences between the 3 sizes.

Geometry Schmeometry! Only affects standover height?

I would prolly erase this post if I could. Bike Geometry is complex I'm sure. I'll test ride both before I decide- I do know for sure that my st1 and 2 16.5 comfort frames felt perfect to me and hopefully "sport" 17 will feel as good. Mounting the bike and standover height are crucial to me and...

Geometry Schmeometry! Only affects standover height?

About to buy another Stromer(st2s)and have concluded the only difference between 17" and 20" is you lose standover height on 20". The only measurement that changes is seat tube height(by 3"), top tube length and everything else remains the same. Even on the 22"- seat tube is 5" taller(than...

My 2017 Brose Motor, SLOW as molasses, SAD, such a good looking bike..

Oh yea “ lean on the motor more instead of learning to shift more”. People buying ebikes want to go biking, not practice shifting. Just keep exercising them shoulders- they’ll strengthen right up- heal themselves even.

My 2017 Brose Motor, SLOW as molasses, SAD, such a good looking bike..

In order to keep that mid drive in it’s sweet spot- plan on adding your right thumb to your list of injured body parts! To say you have to ride it more like a regular bike and you will build up enough extra strength and endurance to enjoy it is ridiculous. The power band on my brose is a lot...

    The new Stromer ST5

I don't know what 'construction is consumable' means, but I will bet my life a rack will be available. Fact remains rack doesn't have any use until you buy the stuff that snaps into it- then it is incredibly useful. I do half Swiss/half Venturian style- snap in a basket and throw my backpack in...
