Del Toro caught out in worst position starting last as a head wind developed towards the end of day, wiping out his time bonuses yesterday. Got that big mountain finish tomorrow, let's see how it all shakes out.

I wonder if crashes have increased last several years compared to the past? I know there has been a lot of conversation and anger about street furniture in the final 10km, usually as this is approaching built up areas, coming into towns and roundabouts traffic islands & speed bumps abound...

That was some kick! Didn't think he'd make it, but judged to perfection.

I don't mind orange or white - and given the hot sun on summer races I often wonder how much a difference light colours make compared to dark outfits like the old black/red Ineos kit. But my issue is the weird dividing line between white and orange, proportionally it's not flattering!

I'd still wear that over the Ineos inside out jersey!

Was just watching the UAE Stage 1 last few KMs highlights when for the first time I saw the new INEOS kit from the side- Jesus wept! It looks like the jersey is riding up the back and inside out! Terrible Orange to White line there.

I quite like the colours! For the smaller teams they need to stand out in the peloton for sponsors and I think make a statement. EF shocked everyone with the bright pink few years back, but it really gave them an image. Here's new Irish champion Rory Townsend's Unibet Rockets kit and his...

Jeez Portugal looking good for mid Feb. That seafront! Big seas but sunny. The Vuelta de something Murca in Spain had the last stage cancelled due to crazy strong winds, so Marc Soler wins by default.

That's amazing! Though I think for the full effect you should attach a shower head above the stationary bike with a fan and turn both on full :)

Exactly. As I said, I was surprised at how nicer the heavier Cairn BRAVe rode with 180mm rotors and it's a heavier bike. It's not extra stopping power I need, it's more measured so my hands don't ache from the necessary constant braking. Lets see if this delivers any change in that aspect. Bu...

What I like about those self supported long distance off road races is the Wild West aspect. Ride whatever bike you like mtb, gravel, old, new, steel, carbon, gears, single speed or gearbox, front sus, full sus or rigid, drop bar or flat bar. Jerryrig whatever bags & gear & food you need to...

Context- these are the same private water companies who are embroiled in long term court cases for dumping thousands of tonnes of raw sewage into rivers lakes and coastal waters, while not updating the network of water pipes in 30 years, then begging government for more money to update the...

I swear to god if the water companies call for hosepipe bans come the summer there will torches and pitchforks on the streets against them.

Finally changed my front rotor for a 180mm. Or actually asked my friend Frank who runs a bike repair business. I'd bought the new rotor & adapter, it took him all of five mins to swap them in. Haven't broken in the new pads yet so the ride home didn't notice much difference, will take a few...

    Turbo Vado 2 4.0 or 5.0 or 6.0?

I didn't say softer! The width of saddle is determined by your sit bones rotation - more upright position, the rotation on the bone 'saddle' is wider so the saddle should be wider to support it (and extra weight). If you're on drops, or any more forward position, additional weight is not on...
