    Evelo Aurora 2018 750w

Hi, Did you get the Aurora 750W bike? how do you like it? Any issues with the Nuvinci and stronger 750W motor? I saw another thread where there is some concerns there and also concerns about issues with the Nuvinci. I really want an internally geared hub on the next Ebike I buy and wonder...

Finding an Ebike that checks enough of the boxes

Thanks. The Aurora looks like a contender. Has class 2, and can override 20 mph speed limit up to 25 mph for off-road. And if they add the carbon belt drive, that would be another advantage in the plus column. Also, its size can accommodate shorter people. The only downsides for me are...

    Question how Mid-drive / Class 2 works

Thanks. Yes I would be curious about that too. I guess one has to more actively manage the gears to help the motor, so shift into a low gear, when starting out, or going up hills, so as not to strain the motor and make it the most efficient.

    Question how Mid-drive / Class 2 works

Hi All, Newbie question here. I am trying to understand how a mid-drive that can be class 2/throttle only works. If one uses throttle only, is it possible to not pedal, given that it is a mid-drive that is turning the crank that the pedals are attached to. Is there a way that it can...

Finding an Ebike that checks all the boxes

Thanks. Assume that is the R&M Tinker. So, smaller frame with 20" wheels. I would have to think more if I wanted to go with a smaller wheeled bike, but if I do, then definitely would consider the Tinker. How do you like it? Do you have the Nuvinci internal hub? How do you like that...

Finding an Ebike that checks all the boxes

Thanks all. The Evelo Delta X looks interesting, but does mention the range of fit would be for someone between 5'6" and 6'2". Not sure if it would be a possible fit with the seat all the way down. So, might be a a little big for me. But, really nice that it can be changed to go 25 mph for...

Finding an Ebike that checks all the boxes

Agree. I have the same issue with cell phones and other products with many features to consider and changing rapidly , so it is all about trade offs. Yes, definitely a good idea to try some in person, as feel of the bike is very important and can better judge, but not always possible to...

Finding an Ebike that checks all the boxes

Hi Angela, thanks. It was more in the order that popped into my head, but probably close to the order of importance, but given that they are mandatory, then I guess the order does not matter for the mandatory items. For the preferred options, not in any order, and reading about some problems...

Finding an Ebike that checks enough of the boxes

Thanks for the feedback. I have an ebike now with a spring fork suspension (Suntour NEX) and like it. Even though a lot of riding is on pavement as opposed to gravel / dirt roads, it is often uneven / bumpy pavement, or sometimes may go off a curb, so I do like some dampening in the...

Finding an Ebike that checks enough of the boxes

Looking for a new ebike and having trouble finding one that checks all the boxes I want. Wondering if anyone knows any brand/models that might check more of the boxes. I separated into the mandatory must haves and the preferred ones that I might be able to compromise on. If I cant find one...

Finding an Ebike that checks all the boxes

I have gotten interested in Ebikes and trying to buy my second ebike. As I start to research them more, I see more and more features I want, then end up not being able to find all the features I want on one ebike. Maybe there are some brands/models I am not aware of that might check all the...
