With 125% tariffs, will the e-bike market die?

DC Rainmaker is reporting that Wahoo is now shipping the Trackr Rador with a US$50 'service charge' for US customers as the device is made in China, not Taiwan. I just checked, and Wahoo is offering free shipping here in Australia.

Rear view mirror - bar end

I ride on the right side, my Mirrcycle is on the right side. Works a treat. Cannot believe I never went to these mirrors years ago. Ergon GP3-L Biokork Grips by Andrew Priest, on Flickr

Has anyone tried the new Rohloff E14 Trigger Shifter

I have a Rohloff E14 Trigger Shifter, but I'm not sure if it is the 'new' one?

Bikes in the Age of Tariffs

Yet another discussion on the impact of tariffs, this time from the Sea Otter Classic, including the decision by SILCA to not sell its new electronic pumps in the USA. You can read the full article at Bikepacking.com

    No manual for Shogun eMetro

This is the manual for a #11,000 plus bike ... Do not expect much for a bike.

    No manual for Shogun eMetro

Have you looked at Shogun's website? They will likely have a 'manual' you can download. Manuals are generally basic and will not help you with the electric motor (the best option is the manufacturer's website). As to basic maintenance, YouTube and manuals such as those published by Park Tool...

    Front Bike Camera - Specifications

I saw that yesterday. No local price as yet, but the US price is scary enough, plus I do not need the light. I have a Supernova M99 running continuously off the bike's battery. I think I will give this one a miss.

    Front Bike Camera - Specifications

I suspect that the app for the Osmo is far more developed than the one for the Neo Drone. Interestingly, the prices of the DJI Osmo 4 are in the ballpark with the Asako Brave 8 locally. The Osmo 5 is, however, ~$300 more.

    Front Bike Camera - Specifications

The front camera on the bike, as opposed to the rear of the bike. Daytime (as opposed to nighttime) riding on roads, i.e., in traffic. For example, commuting and local recreational riding in suburban/metro localities.

    Front Bike Camera - Specifications

I purchased a DJI drone, the cheapest one and found the app a real pain. Not a sophisticated design, IMO. Anyway, I moved the drone on. Turns out that it is not my thing.

Still, using them? A later model Akaso does look interesting I must say.

    Front Bike Camera - Specifications

I have seen those posts which I have found informative. I would, however, prefer a camera without a case which I can 'lock' to the bike with a security bolt to save having to remove it all the time.

    Front Bike Camera - Specifications

Thanks. I am curious about your reasoning for 4k 60fps, which I assume is demanding for battery life. Maybe less of an issue in daily traffic riding, I guess. Looking at the Akaso Brave models, for example, they have a separate charger (USB) plus come with two batteries out of the box. I assume...

    Front Bike Camera - Specifications

If you were looking to buy an action camera for the front of the bike today, its primary use would be daytime riding on the road, and its secondary use would be capturing footage of interesting bikepacking/touring rides. What specific features/specifications would you consider a minimum? I am...

Bikes in the Age of Tariffs

An interesting discussion of the impact of US traffic on bicycle manufacturing by Jan Heine. Also interesting to see where components are predominately made currently. Read more at https://www.renehersecycles.com/bikes-in-the-age-of-tariffs/
