Bike RADAR - for other bikes

That is an interesting point. One I will have to watch for and see if that explains the lack of detection with my Trackr Radar.

I have a few of these that I ride past regularly. One is on a down hill ... you can guess the rest :)

Bike RADAR - for other bikes

I have a Wahoo Trackr Radar and in my experience it is very hit and miss on detecting bicycles. More miss than hit. With motorcycles they get detected as well as cars, which is pretty much 100%. Not sure what you mean by scooters, as we consider them motorcycles (so they get detected) and I have...

NSW [Australia] considering plan to halve power and top speed of ebikes as rider dies in collision with garbage truck

Interesting comment about the roundabouts. They are not welcome here from a cyclists point of view. They are quite dangerous for a couple of rasons: motor vehicle operators like to fail to give away to vehicles in the roundabout (bicycles are vehicles) so near misses and worse are quite common...

NSW [Australia] considering plan to halve power and top speed of ebikes as rider dies in collision with garbage truck

We do drive on the right side, the left side, which is why it is called right hand side driving :)

Nice but these sell for around AU$1,600 ... that is serious coin for a stand.

2026 - Our Rides in Words, Photos, Maps and Videos

Not an e-Bike ride today. Pushing the fatbike up very rough, step singletrack (rocks and pea gravel, which sees one sliding backwards more than going forward) in temps of 41 °C (according to the Wahoo Ace) is bad enough without trying it on the R&M Supercharger. A few shots of the more pleasant...

From the Atlas Mountain Race Instragram: "Victor Bosoni is the first rider to reach the finish line in Essaouira in a time of 4 days 1 hour 46 minutes. At just 24 years old, Victor is the youngest winner we’ve had yet at AMR. There were plenty of unknowns for him, as this was the longest...

Flicking through a sample of 100 riders, I was surprised by the number using the Coro Dura, with many commenting on its battery life. It claims 120 hours without solar charging, which is impressive if true. I didn't really consider the Coros when I got the Wahoo Elment Ace, but maybe should...

True :) Light touring, for many, has taken a new form today: bikepacking, which means you may not need mounts (other than, say, fork mounts). Today, there are alternatives that do not require mounting fork points so that can be worked out. Bikepacking.com For many folks, a "true"...

Wahoo ELEMNT Ace (on Specialized E-Bikes)

I agree with you. I also feel sorry for the staff who were fired when the takeover took place. My ethics are such that I can not support such a business model. Each to their own, of course.

Well, if that is one's use case, then that is fine. As for paying for an app, that is a personal choice. Personally, I do not see the value in Komoot (nor will my ethics allow me to pay Bending Spoons), but I appreciate that it is a different choice for you. I am not interested in judging you...

Please see my comment posted previously. Your response does not change that experience. One you do not have to incur with at least some Garmin models, including the Wahoo Ace's direct competitors, the 1030, 1040 and 1050. Heck, you can even do this on the Hammerhead Karoo 3. That Wahoo...

Tell me about it ... Way back when, I was riding a low-end Giant something MTB (pre-XTC) on the Munda Biddi Trail, and the bike started losing brake fluid. The nearest bike shop was a few days' riding away and in the wrong direction. The only 'solution' I could find locally from the supermarket...
