    Enviolo slippage

I’ve had my 2022 Gazelle Ultimate C380 for a week now. I’ve been putting about 10 miles a day on the odometer. Invariably the enviolo cvt will jump at least once a day. No a big slip, just a little one along with a little pop. Is that something I should be concerned about? Ed

No more update. My bike was stolen

Brought my bike into my enclosed back yard with seven foot high locking gates, after a short ride, at 2:45 Saturday afternoon. My battery was almost dead so I took it off the bike and went inside to get my spare battery. When I came out, 10 minutes later, the bike was gone. Who would want to...

    Break noise

Had my local bike store replace my break pads on my electric bike equipped with Shimano hydraulic breaks. My breaks were whisper quiet before but the new breaks squeaked and gurgled something terrible. Three time my local bike shop tried to silence the breaks, but to no avail. I reached out to...

    10000 mile update

My three year old Pegasus premio sport just termed 10000 miles on the odometer. It is still all original. I’ve not changed anything. I did tighten the chain, but that’s all. Great bike. Still quiet but the two piece chain guard does rattle a little, going over bumps. Ed

9000 mile update on Active Line plus

When I bought my ebike with the Active Line Plus motor I was unsure of its reliability. Not any more. After 9000 miles it’s as peppy and quiet as when I first purchased my ebike. Great motor. Perfect for cruising around Chicago streets and river trails. Easily climbs the many bridges and ramps...

    9000 mile update

My bike just turned 9000 miles in a couple of months shy of 3 years. I haven’t spent a nickel on repairs or maintenance so I decided to take it in to my local bike shop for a tuneup. It was put up on his rack and checked it over. The bike mechanic said I don’t need a tuneup yet . The tires...

    Latch 5000mile update

Two things I would like to add. Before you buy the bike, try putting in and taking out the battery. It goes in easily but unless they’ve made improvements since I got mine it isn’t so easy to get out. The second thing I’d like to mention is, if you do buy the bike you might like to install a...

    Latch 5000mile update

There is not a lot of big hills in Chicago, but we have a lot of bridges and ramps. There are small hills on the river trails, also. I’ve had no trouble, at all, on any hill I’ve encountered. It does fold nicely and I’ve folded it at least a hundred times since I don’t have a bike rack on my car. Ed

    Latch 5000mile update

I’m almost at 6000 miles and the bike is holding up well. I really like the front hub motor for riding the river trail here in Chicago because it alows my bike to be all wheel drive when I need the extra traction. The three speed hub has worked fine for me. No maintenance and no adjustments, but...

    8000 mile update

The Pegasus bike, I own, has an Nexus 8 gear internal hub, not a cassette. The chain tension doesn’t change when shifting gears It’s stationary, like a single speed bike. My last ebike was a Giant Twist. It had a 7 speed Nexus internal geared rear hub too. I rode that from 2009 until 2018. It...

    8000 mile update

It’s been two and a half years since I purchased my Pegasus Premio Sport electric bike. I haven spent a penny on repairs or maintenance in the 8000 miles I’ve traveled. The tires and break pads are still ok. The only part of the bike that is showing significant ware are the had grips and seat...

    Premio Sport 7000 mile update.

After 7000 miles, 90% on anything but smooth Chicago streets, the bike motor is still whisper quiet, and the frame is rattle free. Tires, breaks, and chain are still original and show little sign of ware. Wheels are still true and I have not needed to tighten any spokes in the 2.5,years I’ve had...
