    2019 Como Low Entry

On the UV Lilac, I like how the fender in the front goes down farther than the fender on Missbk50's red bike in the entry prior to yours. I was thinking of installing the fender with rack/light integration from the Vado, but wonder if there will be a gap since the Vado has 29 inch wheels and...

    2019 Como Low Entry

It looks great! What region of the world do you ride? That color and accessories perfect, they were not offered in the United States, the chunk of earth I reside in. Tell us more, are you enjoying it?

Softening the ride without breaking the bank

Well said about all the extra expenses to customize the bike. For me, the numb/tingly hands were from leaning over to my handlebars. The more I raised my handlebars so that I rode in an upright sitting position or cruiser style, the hand numbness vanished. The drawback to just finding a...

    Specialized Turbo Como 3.0

Like chriskmee above, I have the simple, cheap and effective Mirrycle. The time before when I purchased a bike, 30 years ago, the bike shop in San Diego recommended it. It's still on that bike. When I got this Specialized I asked this bike shop what mirror they liked, he showed me from their...

    Specialized Turbo Como 3.0

Ha, sounds great! I'm happy with the performance of mine too, at 590 miles it's quiet and the power coming on and off seems invisible. You're right, bike is fine stock. but I keep buying and adding this and that and having lots of fun. (seems inexpensive compared to having a car mod habit :)...

    2019 Como Low Entry

I have the Como 3 in black with the headlight on the stem and my girlfriend has the Como 3 Low Entry in UV Lilac (both US models). Her headlight is mounted lower. Both lights are very bright, she likes the light mounted lower as she has a straw weave basket strapped to the handlebars. It's...

    Do you break spokes?

Specialized will replace your spokes free under warranty. By the third spoke they will replace all with higher quality or a new handbuilt wheel. This is what my local bike shop said. You wish it wouldn't break in the first place, but still better than having to deal with a mail order bike.

    front suspension - aftermarket?

For 85 dollars, I bought a suspension stem, Gripfast, on ebay. My girlfriend liked it, so I bought 2. It raises the handlebars an inch and a half but we wanted a more upright position anyway. Smooths out the front end great. The internet criticizes suspension stems for losing the tight...

    Do you break spokes?

What is the brand of the bike? Is it a 1500 dollar bike or a 4000 dollar bike? Cheap bikes I wouldn't be surprised at a broken spoke, but a Specialized electric, that doesn't seem right. The Specialized electrics have boost spacing (wider) hubs so the wheel is stronger. For my Specialized...

    Do you break spokes?

Pretty sure poster knows something's not right, he's probably frustrated and wondering if it's just his Specialized. Did your Haibike have to have wheels rebuilt or replaced?

Turbo Vado 4.0 - mysterious torque problem?

That's neat it's fixed. From what I read and hear from my big bike store, it appears Specialized is good about supporting us. You bring up that we don't know where and what kind of torque sensors are on these bikes. I have the Como and it appears the Vado is pretty much the same...

    Turbo Como 3.0 Test Drive

We waited a month for my girlfreinds Low Entry Como 3.0 to come in, so we went to various bike shops and rented we waited. I've heard that from various sources that the Brose is known for it's quiet, smooth operation and I agree. And yes, the bigger tires are a big plus, I would imagine as...

    Specialized Turbo Como 3.0

I've enjoyed your posts! For tire pressure, I've put in 25, I've put in 50. I notice the rolling resistance and degree of cushion for the first couple of minutes and then promptly forget about it. So I just put around 40 psi and just ignore the whole issue. I'm 250 pounds. I'm not much...

Let's see your best pic of your electric bicycle

This is my favorite thread. It's fun seeing everyone's bike out in the wild. I'm happy with my Specialized Como. I feel so lucky that my girlfriend got excited about the bike too and got a Como herself. What a fun thing for us to do, exploring neighborhoods, mountain parks, downtown Portland!

    Turbo Como 3.0 Test Drive

There seems to be many aspects to electric biking and the characteristics of what's important to the buyer seems to vary a great deal from my readings of various forums. As far as hill climbing, many ask about that, but I think any electric bike will get you up steep hills without getting off...

    Specialized Turbo Como 3.0

How exciting! I do love my Como, after a couple months of riding mine, I'm left with the impression that I've never owned anything as silent, solid, and flawless as this machine. I realize that sounds like hyperbole, especially since on this thread there are people that have not had the same...
