Any shops or manufacturers offer a leasing program?

I know - I have a 2014 Izip e3 ultra that the battery has crapped out on - I THINK it’s just the battery but could be something else as well. Anyway, I don’t want to put $600 into it to find out, so instead am just going to get a new bike. But what to do with the Izip? I don’t know, honestly -...

Any shops or manufacturers offer a leasing program?

Yes, Riide offers leasing for I believe $79 a month and a $200 down payment. They are in DC, not sure what other cities they run their leasing program in, and last I looked they were sold out of their leasing bikes. Benefit is that it is lease-to-own and once you finish 2 years the bike is yours.

    Help buying mid priced (1-2K) 2nd e-bike

Yeah I’ve been looking into that as well on the peak and trying to figure out what the deal is - I think you’re right and it’s a 2016. I’m gonna ditch this LBS as they don’t seem to know what they’re selling...

    Help buying mid priced (1-2K) 2nd e-bike

Thanks all - went to a LBS today and they offered me essentially any of the following bikes for 1800 (felt bad as they weren’t able to get me an appropriate fix for my Izip): - 2017 Izip mid-drive Peak w Traz-x 350 w motor (60 miles on it, had issue with factory motor so they took it as a trade...

    Help buying mid priced (1-2K) 2nd e-bike

Yeah pretty annoying - thought I was safe with an Izip in terms of quality/established brand. I did buy it in 2016 and it was one of the last new ones available (built in 2014) so had been sitting on a shelf (but I also got a deal). And I hear ya on spending more - the catch is that I’m likely...

    Help buying mid priced (1-2K) 2nd e-bike

Great refs, appreciate them. Aventon seems like a good bike but believe it just has cadence pedal assist right? Afraid that’s a bit of a deal breaker for me as I’ve gotten used to the torque. Excellent stuff - much appreciated! Will check these out. What are your thoughts on the...

Thanks! I’m a 40 year old guy and will use for commuting (12 mile round trip with pretty significant uphill on way back) - I live in Arlington VA and commute into DC.

    Help buying mid priced (1-2K) 2nd e-bike

My Izip Ultra bit the dust (maybe battery, but mechanic isn’t positive and for $500 I’m not gonna replace it) after 2 years and about 5k miles. Looking for another bike without breaking the bank, but have a better idea of what I want this time around, including: - torque sensor + throttle -...
