How Many Have Received Fines for Class 3?

It's also weird to me that people treat these higher speeds like a hypothetical. A BBS02 can easily push you up to ~32 mph and BBSHD can do 40 mph depending upon the setup. If you have non-trivial experience riding a bike and driving a car it should be pretty obvious that things like riding on...

How Many Have Received Fines for Class 3?

I think the realistic limit for an "ebike" is more like a weight + gearing + geometry limitation. Most mopeds basically have vestigial pedals. If the engine dies you're better off getting off the bike and pushing. Fitting an internal combustion engine + fuel system + transmission makes for a lot...

    Bafang Ultra Max Mid-Drive Options?

Should be decent. Just keep up on maintenance, at those power levels stacked cog chain systems tend to see a ton of wear.

    Juiced Bikes 40 mph!!

With a fat bike you can take giant potholes and sewer drains no problem. Obviously if you're going 40 mph on a road bike it's going to be a really bad time between the complete lack of suspension and floss-width tires. I've done 32 mph on a Luna folding bike and that was much more of a white...

    Juiced Bikes 40 mph!!

When I refer to a 30 zone, I really mean the posted limit is 25 but people go about 30. Some outliers going 35 but that's rare. Main roads are 35 or 40 posted limit. Traffic goes anywhere from 40 to 45. 50 mph is rare unless the roads are wide and sightlines are long. At that point though you...

    Juiced Bikes 40 mph!!

The speed is not strictly legal but it is possible to be responsible with the power. On bike/ped paths I would say you're insane if you actually try to go for top speed. Even in a class 3 bike the opportunity to get up to top speed in those situations is just about never. On wide bike paths...

Hyperfat 1100 and Ripcurrent S Tires and Tubeless Maxxis Minions

The HF1100 is already extremely smooth to me, if you have tried any of the Luna BBS02/BBSHD builds you will know what harsh torque delivery feels like. We're still in the early days of the HF, if it survives more than a few thousand miles I'll be impressed.

Hyperfat 1100 and Ripcurrent S Tires and Tubeless Maxxis Minions

This happens whether I use throttle or PAS. Throttle from standstill to 5 mph can have the sensation of cogging/momentary power cut, mostly only if I really peg the throttle. Power delivery is not perfectly smooth in that regard. It's not the end of the world to me but it is a notable flaw.

Hyperfat 1100 and Ripcurrent S Tires and Tubeless Maxxis Minions

I find the HF1100 is fully capable of 40 on a full battery but you really need to be holding down the throttle to ensure the baseline 25A + using the top gear and stomping hard to max out the torque sensor in race mode. I'm busy with work on most days so I haven't been able to check anything...

Hyperfat 1100 and Ripcurrent S Tires and Tubeless Maxxis Minions

They're 4 inches wide according to spec, I haven't actually measured them though. I talked to Juiced support, they have no idea based on video. I'm going to have to take it to an LBS so they can see if anything looks wrong.

Hyperfat 1100 and Ripcurrent S Tires and Tubeless Maxxis Minions

Have you noticed any tire rubbing with the stock 26x4 slick tires? I am experiencing the exact same issues you report (chain rub on lower 3 gears) but with the stock tires.
