REVIEW: QR-E 250W ELECTRIC BOOSTER BICYCLE MOTOR AND B60i AND B70 BATTERY

Thank you blueberry. I'm not interested in a brake cut-off myself but I dislike the S2 control so I'm going to see if I can make my own. Ordered a 6ft braided USB micro and a couple momentary push button switches that should arrive sometime today. Plan is to put one button on each handlebar...

So allow me to show my ignorance. If the Qiroll switch is normally open couldn't you just put a simple in-line on/off switch in series with a normally closed brake cut off switch and avoid having to use a NOT gate (I'm not sure if there are normally closed brake cut off switches but I've read...

Buck converter worked for me. Enclosed in a handlebar bag it didn't even get warm. Since these motors draw low current there are Buck converters for the load. I did find a 36v output Buck 10a max (not sure what continuous it would support) that might work with a pro but I'm more wanting to...

I re-read your posts from back in 2022 and see that you are the one who also reported that the Pro wouldn't run on >38v which is only 3v above the 35v charger for the stock 33v Pro battery. Maybe 36v would work (two 18v power tool batteries in series)?. I've run my 24/25v Mute version on 24v...

Thanks for the reply, beyond my ability to replicate what you did but might be something that someone else could accomplish. Do you have any suggestions regarding Tuono's switch alteration question? Regarding the friction tape, it sounds like most Qiroll users have similar issues with the...

Here is a link, not what you are asking for: https://github.com/edasmalchi/qiroll-pedal-assist Apparently he was trying to incorporate a cadence sensor and brake cut out.

I haven't seen anything that was reported as sucessful. At one time I did see one blog post where someone was attempting a revision but provided no follow up - which makes me think that perhaps it didn't work out for him. The S2 activation control leaves something to be desired.

I hope that the friction tape works well for you and you post up your experiences one way or the other. I've mentioned before that it didn't work for me. I started with a generic product, then 3M Safety Walk and finally Gorilla brand. The grit on all three quickly wore off exposing the...

I'm not saying it'd work, but maybe a step down to actual 36v could possibly work with the 33v Pro. You'd have to check but I think a prior post several pages back indicated that 38v didn't work but maybe 36v is close enough? Personally I don't think that I'd risk it but I did use a similar...

REVIEW: QR-E 250W ELECTRIC BOOSTER BICYCLE MOTOR AND B60i AND B70 BATTERY

Just my opinion but I wouldn't worry much about physically disengaging the drive unit unless you ride in mud or other debris that you don't want to wedge between the tire and the roller (I addressed that somewhat by mounting the unit on a spring base so it can be pushed away from the tire...

The Mute Plus does have regen, it just isn't much, when it's activated regen slows the bike to a small degree. No idea regarding the Flex version and I can't comment on performance with the Pro other than what I've read as I've never used one. You're probably better off directly asking Jason...

Yes and no. My Mute Plus does have working regen and while it doesn't gain charge or slow the bike much it is slightly noticeable on long downhill runs. Both of the buttons have to be pushed and held at the same time to activate regen. Regen (and the associated braking) is supposed to be more...

Interesting that Shimano Steps will work on batteries without data ports to communicate with the Shimano controller. Is this the battery? Light and small. You do have to stop to disengage the Qiroll from the wheel. It keeps running in the "electronic clutch" mode until you've slowed down to...

My B70 battery weighs 1kg which is commensurate with its capacity. Weights are listed on the Qiroll site, I've found them to be accurate for what I purchased.

You can contact Qiroll with questions directly through their site. I had asked a question pre-sale and one post sale and both were answered. I might reconsider a Qiroll Pro if they come up with a "flex" version that I could use with the 36v or 48v batteries that I already have, would depend on...

To be honest it wouldn't be worth the time for either of us. If you are interested in the low power Mute version Qiroll now sells a version that accepts regular 24v or 36v batteries or higher per their web site for $216 including shipping. I've read that private parties can't legally ship...

I did put it back on a bike but not riding that one because the Qiroll just doesn't work for what I want. Maybe your experience would be different than mine. Too bad that there isn't a way to test before buying but that's not possible - otherwise I'd be very interested in seeing what the Pro...

Without having an opportunity to test the Mute vs Pro I was more interested in the 24v Mute, which I later regretted because the Mute doesn't offer sufficient assist for me and where I ride. Qiroll voltage ratings aren't the same as familiar ebike batteries which, for example a 36v nominal...
