Anyone tried a lightweight ebike conversion kit on the Scott Addict?

The US distributor, mission motion LLC, indicated they forgot to include it and are sending me one. They have been great with communications and after sales followup.

Anyone tried a lightweight ebike conversion kit on the Scott Addict?

@peterecosse I hope you continue to follow this thread. Do you know of a source or part number for a cassette removal tool that will work with the Keyde? The one I have has a hole large enough for the power connector to pass through but not large enough for both the axle and power cable. Does...

Anyone tried a lightweight ebike conversion kit on the Scott Addict?

Thanks for providing the code. The US distributor is very responsive to communication so if it doesn't work I'll contact him. Yes, rear wheel only for the disc. Because the bike has forward facing nearly horizontal dropouts it means that I won't be able to remove the wheel without removing the...

Anyone tried a lightweight ebike conversion kit on the Scott Addict?

Thank you. The link I posted has pdf for everything, for the most part very simple as you say, but still informative. I am interested in unlocking max speed/wattage. If you can post instruction then anyone interested can access your guidance. Thanks again. PS I'm ghetto prepping a 1970s...

Anyone tried a lightweight ebike conversion kit on the Scott Addict?

My demo S110 kit didn't include instructions. I assume new purchases typically include manuals or links to manuals but if not here is a address for Keyde manual downloads: https://www.keyde.com/downloads/1.html BTW if there is interest in Keyde systems maybe we should have a dedicated thread...

Anyone tried a lightweight ebike conversion kit on the Scott Addict?

I did get a complete wheel/motor kit. Not entirely sure but I think the seller (who is a Keyde distributor) laced the hub into a wheel himself. If you're interested in buying a complete wheel maybe you can ask the seller what model rim they use as well as spokes. It may not be a premium rim...

Anyone tried a lightweight ebike conversion kit on the Scott Addict?

Don't get me wrong, peterecosse is definitely the authority. But copied from a distributer listing of the thru axle motor: "Complete wheel with 500W Keyde S110-TA Rear motor" seems to indicate that the Keyde thru axle version is a S110 with thru axle compatible features vs the solid axle...

Anyone tried a lightweight ebike conversion kit on the Scott Addict?

Unless I'm mistaken the keyde web site only lists S110 available as thru axle. P110 appears to be solid axle. Isn't your Giant thru?

The thru axle Keyde S110? If so from mission motion LLC (he is the US distributor and has 100% positive reviews)?

Anyone tried a lightweight ebike conversion kit on the Scott Addict?

I can second that thought. I ordered a S110 (not thru axle) that had been a demo with only a few miles on it from a reputable seller. Complete with bluetooth display, control button, 10.5ah battery and laced into a 26" wheel. <$350 including tax and shipping so I had to at least give it a...

Touring - Planning a long journey

FWIW I've done a few days on the Palouse to Cascades rails to trails part of your trip in Washington and it seemed that easy charging options would be limited as it's kind of isolated.

Touring - Planning a long journey

Curious what area of the country are you from? I've done some few day rides, nothing extreme with max distance in a day of 73 miles and had ~30% left on a Yamaha 400wh battery but it depends on route and weather conditions. I did walk some on a long (miles) steep section, the bike didn't have...

Show us pictures of where you ride your ebikes!

Thanks Dave. I should have checked before I went since my goal was to ride up Larch Mountain Rd. before the snow gate road closure goes into effect soon. That was on the west side past the hwy30 closure. Still was a nice day to be out even if I missed out on what I had planned to do.

Entering the rainy season but nice weather for a ride today. Unfortunately cut short because historic hwy30 in the waterfall area was closed to bikes for some reason.

Best mid drive motor under 500 Dollars?

How are you planning to put a rear disc brake caliper on that bike? I have an old 10 speed steel bike frame that I'm thinking of converting to disc brake on the back and might buy one of these to weld on. The other caliper adapters that I've seen look sort of sketchy. \

hello from an old guy with bad legs

Definitely not as classy as yours but here is a cruiser bike I bought many years ago to ride with my wife when she was riding a Schwinn Cruiser 6. 4 years ago I added a mid drive conversion which can climb very well (I live on a small but named mountain so hills almost everywhere here). The...

    TSDZ2b power setting problems

Sorry, I don't have any help to offer regarding your TSDZ2 but consider doing a trip report with pictures or if you have posted a report on another forum please post a link. I do have two TSDZ2 (not "B") and find it interesting that people post various issues regarding performance and need for...

Sorry I couldn't find anything better. I like it except that BH had the Yamaha walk assist button deactivated which is inexcusable.

Going on 6 years that I've had my BH gravel bike. Fun out and back 29 mile ride yesterday with 2600ft elevation gain. Not happening without an ebike.

    Rear sprocket and hub issue

Park Tool has a instructional on freehub servicing https://www.parktool.com/en-us/blog/repair-help/freehub-service I disassembled shimano freehub once which had pawls sticking but it may not be worth your time, unless you're curious, vs just replacing a typical Shimano or Sram $20-$30 freehub.
