Chain slips constatntly on brand new Lectric Step Through - What could be wrong?

Agreed! When I got mine, I found a dent on one of the fork's leg. It was from shipping handlers. I emailed them and right away they sent me a new fork. They were so apologetic and answered all my questions and concern. Their customer service is top notch!

Placed order for 2 XP eBikes Aug 27th.

Make sure you check your bike thoroughly after you assembled it. Pay attention to the fork. Mine has a dent, probably due to handling. I called customer service and they sent me a new one right away. The dent is small, never really need to replace the fork but they sent me spare nevertheless.

    Replaceable Lectric XP handle bars

Do you plan on keeping the foldable/adjustable stem? if so, You'll be better off getting a wider straight bar. If you chose the BMX route, BMX bars will add rise to the height of your bar. If you want the BMX bar, ditch your folding stem. Get at least 9" rise to match the height of your...

    Knobby tire and derailleur replacement

You can upgrade your derailleur to Altus or Acera, only about 10 bucks more than the Tourney. It has better reviews, more durable, precise shifting and lighter than Tourney. Will be changing mine soon.

    Espin Nero or Lectric XP

I was looking at the Rattan bikes, CSC, Aventon Synch. All great looking bikes. The thing that caught my attention is the enthusiams of the Lectric's owners. They are genuinely happy and satisfied with the bike. I like that a lot. Acceleration is good. torque is plentiful. I pull my kid's 2...

Has anyone increased their front sprocket size? Any concerns or issues?

you might want to increase the length of your crankarms. You gonna need the extra leverage/torque to turn that monster 80T chainring (front sprocket;))

    lectric xp handlebars

Look so much better! I did the same with mine, replaced it with hi-rise BMX handle bars. It maintained the height which I want and got rid of the narrow bar and tall stem. I think it balances the stance better. I see you covered up the manufacturer's logo as well! ;)
