    Specialized 10% Surcharge

Man, the bike industry is struggling without price increases. This is gonna shut down a lot of companies & narrow model & build ranges. The good news - most people don't ride their bikes, so there's a good supply of used bikes out there. I spent some time looking around the local Craigslist...

    Riding without the motor

I could have sworn there was a thread about this, but I cannot find it. That aside, work has been stressful lately, and the weather has gotten pretty nice...so I'm riding more. And the timing couldn't be any better. Starting a few weeks ago, my stress levels got so high, that the only way I...

    Bosch dealer software?

I see that. Might be a good find. I'm a bit skeptical about downloading files from some Reddit post, but it might be legit. Who's gonna try it first :)

Where To Vacation With Paved Bicycle Trails, E-Bike Rentals & Nearby Lodging?

I wound up booking a house up by Joshua Tree for 10 nights. Probably not much riding but looking forward to the hiking. Has a pool & hottub too, so stargazing is gonna be epic!

What Do You Do With Your Old Unused Conventional Bikes?

I still ride my analog bikes, but when I run out of space for one, it's usually gifted to a friend or someone in need. Sometimes they get parted out. Frames make great wall art - as do full builds if the parts can't be re-used. I've never actually sold a bicycle.

Where To Vacation With Paved Bicycle Trails, E-Bike Rentals & Nearby Lodging?

Going in late March or early April, so should be good. This is gonna be mainly a hang out by the pool and try some restaurants/bars trip, but the option to rent a bike & ride around would be nice. I was in Vegas for the July 4 weekend last year & experienced an official 120F - which was...

Where To Vacation With Paved Bicycle Trails, E-Bike Rentals & Nearby Lodging?

How about Palm Springs CA? I'm headed that way soon & have been wondering what the bike scene is like. Doesn't look terribly bike friendly from looking at Google Earth, but maybe it'll surprise me?

    The e-bikes of CES 2025

Not much vintage on that Segway bike. I assume the 2nd shock is for the extra weight. I've owned some big motorcycles, and that thing was borderline intimidating. I didn't see Stark there, but this wasn't a bike show either. Kinda surprised how many bikes I saw. I only photographed maybe...

Ya gotta admit, it's cool to look at. That's about where the fun stops though. I would like to see Sam Pilgrim give it a proper thrashing. Although something tells me even he would be like - nope

    The e-bikes of CES 2025

OK fine, one more motorcycle. Maybe the best meeting of the trip. You can look into it yourself, so I'll keep it short, but these guys use some really interesting metals and methods to take the air out of your tires an inch off topic, but how cool are these? For the more domesticated...

    The e-bikes of CES 2025

I got to ride this one around the convention hall a little. Note to future self - don't do this. Uncle Andy just slapped this one together convention style. No bolt left tightened  That aside, it really was fun to ride a sketchy bike around CES. Check out the single-sided design front...

    The e-bikes of CES 2025

So I got to go to CES last week & bikes, specifically e-bikes, were taking over. Not actually really. AI took over & I hate it, but there were lots of bikes. I'd put most of these on the lower end of the food chain, but there was some nice stuff mixed in too. I'll probably spread these over...

Harder than that bike should ever be ridden. He got lucky lol. Seth also went through that bike with a lot of experience before getting on it. He ain't no enginerd, but he rides & builds a LOT of bikes. He does this for a living. 99% of people who get these will do the final assembly on a...

    Show Us a Tool

Started carrying this around a few weeks ago & am kicking myself for not doing it earlier. Sometimes you need to move a few electrons around while you're out & this is way easier than dragging out the charging cable, charger, unraveling the velcro, plugging it all in to see if the outlet works...
